2. Educational Qualification
Essential Qualification:
- Matriculation (Class 10th) or equivalent pass from a recognized Board
Desirable Qualification:
- Intermediate (Class 12th) pass

- The prescribed educational qualifications should have been obtained from a University/Institution/Board recognized by Government of India (GoI) / approved by Government Regulatory Bodies

Important Note:

5. Job Requirements & Duties
Job Profile for Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS):
The selected candidates will be required to perform the following duties:
- Record Maintenance: Physical maintenance of records of section
- Cleanliness & Upkeep: General cleanliness and upkeep of the section
- File Movement: Carrying files and documents to other sections
- Photocopying: Photocopying of documents
- Dak Delivery: Delivering the dak (postal items)
- Section Management: Opening and closing of section/room
- Furniture Maintenance: Dusting of furniture and fixtures
- Hospitality: Preparation and supply of tea/coffee to officials and guests
- Other Duties: Any other work assigned by superior officers
Nature of Work: Multi-tasking duties involving both clerical support and maintenance activities in a premier research institute environment.

7. Merit List Preparation
Final Merit List: The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of performance in the competitive written examination.
Tie-Breaking Criteria:
In case of tie in scores, merit will be decided in the following order of preference:
Order 1: Candidate with lesser negative marks in written test placed higher
Order 2: Date of birth - Older candidate placed higher
Order 3: Candidate acquiring essential qualification earlier placed higher
Order 4: Alphabetical order in which first names of candidates appear

Examination Instructions:
- Admit Card: Download from https://iicb.res.in/ - no hard copy will be sent
- Photo ID Mandatory: Valid photo ID proof (Aadhaar/PAN/Passport/DL/Voter ID) required at exam centre
- Late Entry Not Allowed: Candidates reporting after gate closing time will not be permitted
- Name Matching: Name on admit card must exactly match photo ID proof
- Mobile Phones Prohibited: Electronic devices strictly banned at examination venue
- No Change of Centre: No request for change of centre/venue/date will be entertained
PwBD Candidates:
- Scribe Facility: Visually impaired and candidates with writing disability can use own scribe at own cost
- Scribe Qualification: One step below the candidate's qualification
- Compensatory Time: 20 minutes per hour for candidates using scribe or magnified font
- Undertaking Required: Candidates using scribe must submit undertaking (Annexure-I & II)
