2. Educational Qualification
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION (Any ONE of the following):
Candidates must have successfully completed from a Government-recognized educational institution:
(a) Minimum 1-year Multi-Purpose Health Worker basic certificate course or Diploma course
OR
(b) Minimum 1-year Sanitary Inspectors Diploma Course
OR
(c) Minimum 1-year Certificate Course of Health Sanitary Inspectors from Industrial Training Institute (ITI) or any other government-recognized institute
OR
(d) Diploma of Sanitary Inspector or Health Sanitary Inspector obtained from any University established or incorporated under Central or State Act in India, or any educational institution recognized as such or declared as deemed University under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:
(e) Computer Knowledge (Compulsory):
Candidates must possess basic knowledge of computer application as prescribed in Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.
Acceptable Computer Certificates:
- Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/language from any training institute
- Computer knowledge Diploma/Degree/Certificate course from government-recognized university or institution
- Degree/Diploma where computer is one of the subjects
- Passed Class 10th or 12th examination with computer as a subject
Note: Candidates without computer certificate can also apply, but must submit computer basic knowledge certificate before appointment, otherwise selection will be cancelled.

Possess adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both

4. Salary & Pay Scale
INITIAL APPOINTMENT (First 5 Years):
As per Finance Department resolutions dated 16/02/2006, 29/04/2010, 06/10/2011, 20/10/2014, 20/10/2015, 18/01/2017, and latest 18/10/2023 (File No: Expense/2002/57/Part-4/J.1):
- Fixed Salary: ₹26,000/- per month (for first 5 years)
- Other benefits as per the resolution
AFTER 5 YEARS (Regular Appointment):
As per General Administration Department resolution dated 23/10/2015 (CRR/11/2015/312911/G.1) and Finance Department resolutions dated 28/03/2016 and 18/01/2017:
Subject to satisfactory service completion and fulfilling all conditions:
Pay Scale: ₹19,900 - 63,200 (Level-2 as per 7th Pay Commission)

MERIT LIST PREPARATION:
- After provisional result, approximately 2 times the number of vacancies will be called for certificate verification based on merit
- Selection list and waiting list will be prepared based on merit
- Final score = Total marks obtained in Part-A + Part-B (after qualifying both parts with minimum 40%)
- Sports Quota: 5% bonus marks added to exam score for candidates who represented in National/International, Inter-University, or All India School Association level competitions in approved sports

9. Reserved Category Candidates
(A) SC/ST/SEBC/EWS Candidates:
General Instructions:
- Only candidates originally from Gujarat will get age relaxation and reservation benefits
- Category mentioned in online application cannot be changed after confirmation
- Must submit valid caste/category certificate from competent authority
(B) SEBC (Socially and Educationally Backward Class) Candidates:
Non-Creamy Layer Certificate Required:
Option 1: Gujarati format as per Appendix-4 of Social Justice & Empowerment Department resolution dated 27/04/2010 (SSP/1109/1663/A) for state government jobs, based on income of FY 2022-23/2023-24/2024-25, obtained between April 1, 2023 to March 21, 2026

Option 2: Central Government Annexure-A format for central government jobs reservation as per Social Justice & Empowerment Department resolution dated 18/08/2017 (SSP/122017/124382/A), obtained between April 1, 2025 to March 21, 2026
Important for Married Women: SEBC married women must submit Non-Creamy Layer certificate based on their parents' income (not husband's income). If submitted based on husband's income, application will be rejected.
