Educational Qualification

• Minimum one year Multi-Purpose Health Worker basic certificate course or Diploma course from a Government recognized educational institution
• OR minimum one year Sanitary Inspectors Diploma Course from a Government recognized educational institution
• OR minimum one year certificate course of Health Sanitary Inspectors from Industrial Training Institute or other Government recognized institute
• OR Diploma of Sanitary Inspector or Health Sanitary Inspector from any University established under Central or State Act in India
• Basic knowledge of computer application as prescribed in Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967
• Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both
• Post is for MALE candidates only; women candidates cannot apply

Salary

• Fixed pay of Rs. 26,000/- per month for first five years
• After five years of satisfactory service, eligible for regular appointment in pay scale of Rs. 19,900 to Rs. 63,200 (Level-2) as per 7th Pay Commission
• Subject to the outcome of Supreme Court SLP No.14124/2012 and SLP No.14125/2012

Age Limit

• Minimum 18 years, Maximum 33 years as on 31/07/2026
• Reserved category male candidates: 5 years relaxation (maximum 38 years)
• General category candidates with disability: 10 years relaxation (maximum 43 years)
• Reserved category candidates with disability: 15 years relaxation (maximum 45 years)
• Ex-servicemen: relaxation equal to service period rendered plus 3 years
• Upper age limit relaxable for candidates already in Gujarat Government service

• Health and Family Welfare Department: 100 posts (Unreserved/General-58, EWS-10, SEBC-22, SC-4, ST-6)
• No reservation for women candidates as this post is for male candidates only
• Reservation for disabled candidates announced separately under special recruitment drive Advt No. 275/2024-25; not included in this notification
• Ex-servicemen: 10% horizontal reservation within respective categories

• Examination pattern: Part-A (90 marks - Reasoning & Data Interpretation, Quantitative Aptitude, Constitution of India, Current Affairs, Gujarati & English Comprehension) and Part-B (120 marks - subject related to educational qualification); total 210 questions, 3 hours combined duration
• Negative marking: 1/4 mark deducted for each wrong answer
• Minimum qualifying standard: 40% separately in both Part-A and Part-B
• Additional 5% marks for candidates with valid sports certificates (National/International, Inter-University, or All India School Federation level)
• Fee once paid is non-refundable except for candidates who appear in the examination
• Scribe/Compensatory time facility available for eligible disabled candidates as per prescribed norms
