Apprenticeship Programme: HPCL Marketing Division (All India Locations) proposes to engage Graduate Apprentice Trainees – Engineering [Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation] at locations spread across India as per provision of Apprentices Act, 1961 and the Rules thereof.

2. Educational Qualification

Minimum Qualification:

Essential:

  • Full-time Engineering Graduation (B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc Engineering) in:
    • Civil Engineering
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Instrumentation Engineering

Year of Passing Criterion:

  • IMPORTANT: Candidates who have completed Engineering Graduation after 01-04-2023 onwards are eligible to apply
  • NOT ELIGIBLE: Candidates who completed engineering prior to 01-04-2023

Recognition:

  • All qualifications must be recognized by:
    • Board of Technical Education
    • UGC (University Grants Commission)
    • AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education)
    • Or equivalent authority as per prevailing laws

Minimum Marks Required:

    • Percentage = (Total marks obtained ÷ Total marks) × 100
    • Fraction ignored (49.99% = less than 50%)

3. Age Limit (as on 02-03-2026)

Age Criteria:

  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age: 25 years

4. Stipend / Monthly Payment

Monthly Stipend: ₹25,000/- (Rupees Twenty-Five Thousand Only)

Payment Breakdown:

  • ₹20,500/- paid by HPCL
  • ₹4,500/- paid directly to apprentices by Government of India as per DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) scheme

Training Duration: 1 Year (12 months)

Total Stipend for 1 Year: ₹3,00,000/- (approximately)

Other Benefits:

  • No housing assistance/allowances provided
  • Only fixed stipend as mentioned above
  • Practical industry training experience
  • Certificate of completion

5. Future Employment Benefits

IMPORTANT: HPCL does not give any commitment/assurance on providing permanent/temporary employment to Apprentices on successful completion of Apprenticeship period.

However, Apprentices who Successfully Complete Training will Get:

Benefit 1 - Age Relaxation:

  • Age relaxation equal to period of apprenticeship training (maximum 1 year)
  • Applicable when applying for regular HPCL recruitment

Benefit 2 - Additional Marks in CBT:

  • 5% additional marks added to Computer Based Test (CBT) score
  • Grace marks counted with actual CBT marks
  • Used for shortlisting in subsequent selection stages

Example:

  • If candidate scores 70 marks in CBT
  • After 5% addition: 70 + 3.5 = 73.5 marks
  • This enhanced score used for shortlisting

Important Clarification:

  • Mere successful completion does NOT guarantee recruitment/selection
  • Only provides relaxation/preference as mentioned above
  • Must still compete in regular recruitment process

6. Selection Process

Selection Methodology:

Stage 1: Application Screening

  • Applications screened based on merit percentage (marks)
  • According to eligibility criteria and qualification
  • Number of training slots considered

Stage 2: Document Verification

  • Candidates called in order of merit
  • Ratio: 1:5 (for each training slot, 5 candidates called)
  • Shortlisted candidates communicated via registered email
  • No TA/DA paid for document verification

Stage 3: Merit List Preparation

  • Based on candidates who reported for document verification
  • Found suitable as per eligibility criteria

Stage 4: Final Engagement

  • Candidates engaged in merit order
  • On accepting tri-partite apprenticeship contract on NATS website
  • Submission of medical certificate in prescribed format
  • Police verification by candidates

1.Eligibility Conditions:

  1. Indian Nationals Only: Only citizens of India eligible to apply.

NATS 2.0 Registration Mandatory: Must be registered and approved on National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS 2.0) portal and by Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT).

  1. Year of Passing: Only engineering graduates who completed after 01-04-2023 eligible. Completed before 01-04-2023 = NOT ELIGIBLE.
  2. No Existing Apprenticeship: Candidates with existing apprenticeship contract with any organization NOT eligible. Any existing contract may lead to rejection.
  3. Work Experience Limit: Candidates with one year or more work experience NOT eligible.
  4. Application Deadline: Applications after 02-03-2026 will NOT be considered.

Category Certificates:

  1. SC/ST Certificate: From Revenue Authority (minimum Tehsildar rank). Caste name must exactly match central list. Check list at: www.ncst.nic.in (ST) and www.socialjustice.nic.in (SC).
  2. OBC-NC Certificate: Must clearly state "does not belong to creamy layer". Based on father's state of origin. Check central list: www.ncbc.nic.in. OBC candidates in creamy layer must apply as UR.
  3. PwBD Certificate: Minimum 40% disability required. Proper certificate from competent authority.
  4. Certificate Language: If in language other than English/Hindi, submit self-certified translated copy.

Application Guidelines:

  1. Complete Information: Incomplete/wrong particulars = application not considered.

  4. Preference Benefits: Age relaxation (up to 1 year) and 5% additional marks in CBT for future HPCL recruitments.
  5. Tri-partite Contract: Must accept apprenticeship contract on NATS website.

Housing & Allowances:

  1. No Housing: No housing assistance provided by HPCL.
  2. Only Stipend: Only fixed stipend of ₹25,000/month. No other allowances.
