Essential:

• PhD in relevant discipline (Computer Science & Engineering or related field)
• First Class at both B.Tech/B.E. and M.Tech/M.E.
• No minimum experience required (Nil)
• No minimum Credit Points required (Nil)

Desirable (Additional Advantage):

• Two research papers published/accepted in SCI/SSCI/Scopus indexed journals (Journals only — not conference papers)
• GATE Qualified Score
• Ongoing Research Projects
• Patents Granted
• Present/Past Consultancy or revenue generation activity
• Prestigious Awards/Fellowships

• Industry Collaboration experience

4. Salary / Pay Scale

• Pay Level-10 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix
• Basic Pay: ₹57,700/- (Level-10 starting) + DA + HRA + Transport Allowance + DA on TA + Child Education Allowance + NPS Employer's Contribution as per GoI/Institute Rules
• Appointment: Scaled contract for 3 years, extendable by 2 more years with all service benefits applicable to regular employees

Stage 1 – Application Scrutiny & Shortlisting Based on qualifications, experience and desirable criteria

Stage 2 – Screening Test / Demo Lecture / Interview

• Detailed procedure/pattern/syllabus will be uploaded on Institute website
• Shortlisted candidates list published on www.iiitsurat.ac.in only
• Candidates residing abroad may attend Demo/Interview online (request by email at least 10 days before scheduled date; written test must be attended in-person only)
• No TA/DA or lodging/boarding paid for attending test/interview

Mere possession of essential qualifications does NOT guarantee interview call. Institute may limit candidates based on specialization, vacancies, etc.
