1. Post Name & Vacancy Details

*Note: UR vacancies for Accountant = 12 (balance after reserved categories). Reservation details for Posts 02, 03, 04 to be confirmed from official notification.

All posts are in Grade S-6 | Pay Scale: ₹27,710 – 3% – ₹53,590/-

2. Educational Qualification

Minimum Marks Required:

• UR / OBC (NCL) / EWS: Minimum 60% aggregate marks
• SC / ST / PwD: Minimum 50% aggregate marks

Note: Only Regular / Full-Time / Open & Distance Learning (UGC recognised) courses are valid. Percentage will NOT be rounded off — 59.99% will NOT be considered as 60%.

3. Age Limit (as on 03.03.2026)

• Maximum Age: 28 Years (for all posts)

Age Relaxation:

Maximum age after relaxation must not exceed 52 years in any case.

4. Salary / Pay Scale

• Grade: S-6
• Pay Scale: ₹27,710 – 3% – ₹53,590/- per month (IDA Pattern)

5. Selection Process

Stage 1 – Computer Based Test (CBT):

• Duration: 90 minutes
• Total Questions: 100
• Each question: 1 mark
• Negative marking: 0.25 marks per wrong answer
• Question paper: Bilingual (English & Hindi)

CBT Structure:

• Admit Card and CBT date will be uploaded on the MECON Candidate Registration Portal
• Final selected candidates list will be published on MECON website
• No TA/DA for appearing in CBT
• Before final appointment, selected candidates must clear Medical Examination at Ispat Hospital, Shyamali, Ranchi

6. Application Fee

• Payment mode: Online only through MECON's payment gateway
• Fee once paid is non-refundable
• Applications without fee or with insufficient fee will be rejected

• Signature in blue/black ink (JPG/JPEG, max 2 MB)
• Matriculation / SSC Certificate / Marksheet (for Date of Birth proof)
• Final/Provisional Certificate of BBA / CA Inter / CMA Inter (as applicable)
• All semester/year marksheets or consolidated marksheet
• PAN Card and Aadhaar Card (mandatory – Aadhaar number must match exactly)
• Category Certificate – SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/EWS/PwD/Ex-SM (as applicable)
• NOC from present employer (if working in Govt./PSU/Autonomous Body)
• Sportspersons Certificate (if applicable)

Note: All documents must be self-attested, legible, and non-encrypted. Multiple documents must be merged into single PDF (max 2 MB).

• Each candidate can apply for only one post — choose carefully before applying
• Candidates must be willing to serve anywhere in India — Pan India posting liability
• OBC (NCL) certificate must not be older than 1 year from the date of advertisement
• Aadhaar number in application and uploaded Aadhaar card must match exactly — mismatch leads to rejection
• SC/ST/OBC candidates applying for UR posts will be considered on General merit — no age or fee relaxation
