B) Constable (Pioneer Wing) – 20 Posts (All India Basis)

Note: 10% vacancies reserved for Ex-Servicemen (ESM). If suitable ESM not available, vacancies will be filled by non-ESM of respective category. Vacancies are tentative.

4. Physical Standards

Height:

Chest (Male Only):

• General: Unexpanded 80 cm, minimum expansion 5 cm
• ST: Unexpanded 76 cm, expansion 5 cm
• Garhwali/Kumaoni/Dogra/Maratha/HP/J&K/Assam/Ladakh: Unexpanded 78 cm, expansion 5 cm
• NE States & GTA: Unexpanded 77 cm, expansion 5 cm
• Chest measurement NOT taken for Female candidates

Other Medical Requirements:

• No Knock Knee, Flat Foot, Varicose Vein, or Squint in eyes
• Good mental and physical fitness for border/high altitude duties
• Free from any defect interfering with efficient performance

5. Salary / Pay Scale

Additional benefits: DA, HRA, TA, Free ration/clothing, Medical facility, CGHS, CGEGIS, Leave Travel Concession, Pension as per Central Govt. rules.

6. Selection Process

Stage 1 – PET (Physical Efficiency Test) — Race:

Ex-Servicemen: PET Race exempted — only height/chest/weight measurement taken in PST

Stage 2 – PST (Physical Standard Test): Height, Chest & Weight measurements as per above standards. Appeal to Appellate Authority (DIG) allowed on same day if not satisfied.

Stage 3 – Computer Based Test (CBT):

• 100 Questions × 1 Mark = 100 Marks | Duration: 2 Hours
• Medium: English and Hindi only
• Negative marking: 0.25 marks per wrong answer

CBT Minimum Cut-off Marks:

Stage 4 – Trade/Skill Test (Qualifying Nature):

• 50 marks practical assessment
• Minimum qualifying marks: 20 out of 50
• Practical tasks specific to each trade (Driving test for Driver, cooking for Cook, playing instruments for Band etc.)

Stage 5 – Document Verification (DV): Collection and verification of all original certificates

Stage 6 – Detailed Medical Examination (DME) / Review Medical Examination (RME): Full medical check-up including X-ray, vision test, ECG etc.

Final Selection: Based on normalized marks in CBT only (100% weightage). Tie-breaking: Part A marks → Part B marks → Date of Birth (older preferred) → Alphabetical order.

• Matriculation/10th Certificate & Marksheet (DOB + Educational Qualification proof)
• Domicile / Permanent Resident Certificate of the State/UT mentioned in application — mandatory
• Driving Licence (for CT/Driver post — must be HMV/Transport)
• ITI Certificate + Experience Certificate (for CT/MMV post)
• Category Certificate — SC/ST/OBC/EWS in prescribed format
• Ex-Servicemen Discharge Book + Undertaking (Annexure-III)
• Certificate for Height/Chest relaxation (Annexure-VI) — if claiming relaxation
• Certificate from Commanding Officer (Annexure-II) — for serving defence personnel
• 1984 riot victims certificate from District Collector/DM (if applicable)
• Recent passport-size colour photographs (2 copies)
• Valid Photo ID proof (Aadhaar/Voter ID/PAN/Passport/Driving Licence etc.)

• Domicile is critical — T&T vacancies are State/UT-wise; your Domicile Certificate state must match exactly with application — any mismatch leads to immediate cancellation
• Pioneer posts are ALL INDIA — any candidate from any state can apply
• PwD candidates are NOT eligible for any post
• Women are especially encouraged to apply — female candidates of all categories pay no fee
• Ex-Servicemen are exempted from PET Race but must appear in PST
• Admit Card will NOT be sent by post — download from website only; bring 2 coloured printouts
