1. Post Name & Vacancy Details

PwBD Reserved: 1 vacancy each in Professor, Associate Professor & Assistant Professor cadre.

Departments covered: Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Psychiatry, Community Medicine, Forensic Medicine & Toxicology, General Medicine, Pediatrics, Orthopedics, Radiology, Dermatology, ENT, Ophthalmology, General Surgery, Dentistry.

2. Educational Qualification

As per latest guidelines of the National Medical Commission (NMC/MCI):

• MBBS degree from a recognised medical institution
• MD / MS / DNB or equivalent postgraduate degree in the relevant speciality
• Valid Medical Registration with NMC / State Medical Council (updated) is mandatory for all posts
• If registration is pending, copy of "Applied for registration" must be submitted at the time of interview

Note: Retired / Working Professors may also apply for eligible posts.

3. Age Limit (as on 07.04.2026)

• Age relaxation as per Government of India prevailing norms for reserved categories
• Maximum tenure of engagement for Teaching Faculty: up to 70 years of age

4. Salary / Pay Scale

Other Allowances as applicable per ESIC HQ Memorandum No. Z-11012/51/2022-MED-VI. Note: Non-medical officers are not entitled to Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA).

Security Deposit (payable by selected candidates via Demand Draft at time of joining):

DD to be drawn in favour of "ESI Fund A/c No. 1" payable at Ahmedabad. Deposit refundable on successful completion of contract + "No Dues Certificate." If candidate resigns within 6 months of joining, security deposit will be forfeited.

5. Selection Process

• Document Verification followed by Personal Interview at the venue
• Selection based on academic credentials and interview performance before a duly constituted selection board
• Result will be published only on the official websites: www.esic.gov.in / https://mcnaroda.esic.gov.in
• Appointment offer will be sent via Email only
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview

6. Application Fee

Payment mode: Demand Draft in favour of "ESI Fund A/c No. 1" payable at Ahmedabad. Fee once paid is non-refundable under any circumstances.

Venue: Office of the Dean, 3rd Floor, Opp. Municipal Swimming Pool, Khokhra, Ahmedabad – 380008 Reporting Time: 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM sharp (Late arrivals will be marked absent) Cut-off Date for Eligibility: 07-04-2026

• Relieving/NOC Certificate from previous/current Employer (if applicable)
• Aadhaar Card
• Completion Certificate of ICMR/NMC approved Basic Course in Biomedical Research (if any)
• NMC approved Revised Basic Course Workshop/Basic Course in Medical Education Workshop Certificate (if any)
• Completed Offline Application Form (from official advertisement)
• Application Fee DD (if applicable)

• No private practice is allowed after joining as teaching faculty at ESIC Medical College Ahmedabad
• Candidates must appear on their department's specific interview date only as per the schedule above — no interchange of dates
• Application submitted in any format other than the prescribed one or incomplete applications will be summarily rejected
• OBC-NCL Certificate should NOT be older than 1 year from the cut-off date and must be in Central Govt. format
• Vacancies are provisional and may increase or decrease without prior notice
• ESIC reserves the right to cancel/postpone the recruitment process at any stage without giving any reason
• Absence from work exceeding 7 days without prior approval will be treated as voluntary abandonment of contract
• No service benefits like PF, Pension, Gratuity, Medical Allowance, or Seniority perks will be applicable under this contract
