2. Position-Wise Detailed Eligibility

POSITION 1: URBAN PLANNER (04 Posts)

Remuneration: ₹80,000 - 1,00,000 per month

Age Limit (as on March 30, 2026):

• Maximum Age: 45 years
• Age Relaxation: Up to 65 years for suitable candidates with proven experience in Government organizations, Government PSUs, ULBs or Development Authorities

Educational Qualification:

Essential:

1. Bachelor's Degree in:
   • Architecture
   • Civil Engineering
   • Urban Planning
   From UGC recognized university AND
2. Master's Degree in:
   • City Planning
   • Town Planning
   • Regional Planning
   • Traffic and Transportation Planning
   • Urban Planning
   • Infrastructure Planning
   • Industrial Planning
   • Environmental Planning
   • OR any other academic qualification of similar nature
   From UGC recognized university

Experience Required (as on March 30, 2026):

At least 5 years of proven experience in field of urban planning having worked with:

POSITION 2: JR. URBAN PLANNER (12 Posts)

Remuneration: ₹55,000 - 75,000 per month

Age Limit (as on March 30, 2026):

• Maximum Age: 35 years
• Age Relaxation: Up to 55 years for suitable candidates with proven experience in Government organizations, Government PSUs, ULBs or Development Authorities

   • Geography
   From recognized university AND
2. Master's Degree in:
   • Geoinformatics
   • Geomatics
   • GIS or relevant field

Experience Required (as on March 30, 2026):

At least 3 years of proven experience in:

Core Skills:

• Geospatial analysis in context to urban planning
• Spatial Analysis Techniques & analysis
• Geo-database Management
• Image processing
• Efficient Data Visualization techniques
• Proficient in GIS software such as ArcGIS/QGIS
• Effective communication and documentation skills in English and Gujarati

Additional Skills (Plus Points):

• Experience with programming languages: Python / SQL / JavaScript
• Knowledge of Google Earth Engine

POSITION 5: GIS CUM CAD OPERATOR (08 Posts)

Remuneration: ₹35,000 - 50,000 per month

Age Limit (as on March 30, 2026):

• Maximum Age: 35 years

Educational Qualification:

Essential (Any ONE of the following):

1. Certificate for successfully completing GIS Software OR
2. Industrial Training Institute (ITI) – Draftsman (Civil) Course or equivalent drafting course OR
3. Architectural diploma course / assistantship program / certificate course approved by AICTE and recognized by Autodesk

Experience Required (as on March 30, 2026):

At least 2 years of professional experience in:

Technical Skills:

• Working on ArcGIS/QGIS and AutoCAD
• Reading and interpreting maps and other GIS data
• Entering data into GIS database
• Drawing maps using GIS software
• Compiling reports for commissions and zone planners
• Effective typing skills in English and Gujarati

IMPORTANT NOTE ON QUALIFICATION:

UGC Recognized University/Institution means:

• University established or incorporated by or under the Central or a State Act in India
• OR any other educational institution recognized as such or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956
• OR institution approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)

3. Selection Process

MULTI-STAGE SELECTION:

Stage 1: Application Scrutiny

• Verification of online and hard copy applications
• Checking eligibility criteria (age, qualification, experience)
• Shortlisting of eligible candidates

Stage 2: Written Eligibility Test (If Required)

• GTPCL may conduct written eligibility test after scrutinizing applications
• Only qualified candidates will be called for interview

Stage 3: Personal Interview

• Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview
• Interview date will be communicated to eligible candidates at later stage
• Document verification during interview

Stage 4: Final Selection

• Based on performance in written test (if conducted) and interview
• GTPCL reserves right to offer suitable job/role/profile as per company requirements

Note:

• Shortlisting will be provisional without verification of documents
• Candidature subject to verification of all details/documents with originals during selection process
• Candidates not meeting eligibility criteria will not be called for interview

4. Salary & Remuneration

POSITION-WISE REMUNERATION:

Note:

• Remuneration will be decided based on qualification, experience, and interview performance
• Contract period: 11 months (renewable based on satisfactory performance)

General Instructions:

1. For Government Employees:
   • Presently employed in Central/State Government/PSUs must submit application through proper channel
   • Must produce No Objection Certificate (NOC) from current employer
2. Document Verification:
   • Shortlisting will be provisional without verification of documents
   • Candidature subject to verification of all details/documents with originals during selection process (if shortlisted)
3. Eligibility Criteria:
   • Candidates not meeting eligibility criteria (Age, Educational Qualification, Work Experience) will NOT be called for interview
   • Intimation via Phone/Message/Email
4. Written Test:
   • After scrutinizing candidature, GTPCL may conduct written eligibility test
   • Qualified candidates will be asked to appear for interview
5. Disqualification:
   • Candidate found not satisfying eligibility criteria during selection process will be disqualified
6. Contract Period:
   • Contractual appointment for 11 months
   • May be renewed at sole discretion of GTPCL
   • Subject to satisfactory performance
7. Job Role:
   • GTPCL reserves right to offer any suitable job/role/profile to candidates found suitable as per company requirements
