Step 1 — Register on Portal FIRST (Mandatory):

• ITI Candidates: Register on NAPS portal at https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in
• All Other Candidates (Graduate/Diploma): Register on NATS portal at https://nats.education.gov.in
• Get your NATS/NAPS ID before attending — without it, you cannot participate

Step 2 — Fill Forms:

• Download Registration Form (Annexure-I) and Undertaking (Annexure-II) from DRDO/GTRE advertisement
• Fill Registration Form in BLOCK letters with all details including NATS/NAPS ID
• Sign the Undertaking

Step 3 — Attend Walk-In:

1. Reach GTRE campus on 6 June 2026 by 9:00 AM
2. Report to the venue with filled registration form, undertaking, all original + self-attested photocopy documents
3. Participate in selection process (merit/test/interview as applicable)

2. Educational Qualification

Important Qualification Conditions:

• Candidates who passed qualifying examination in 2022 or later are eligible
• Candidates who passed before 2022 are NOT eligible
• Only regular mode candidates eligible — distance/correspondence NOT accepted
• Candidates with higher qualification are NOT eligible (e.g., BE candidate cannot apply for Diploma post)
• Candidates with 1 year or more of job/training experience after qualifying exam are NOT eligible
• Candidates already completed or currently undergoing any apprenticeship are NOT eligible
• CGPA must be converted to percentage as per university norms — conversion certificate required

3. Age Limit (as on 06.06.2026)

• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• Maximum Age: As per Government of India provisions

4. Stipend During Training

• As per Government of India norms (as per Apprentices Act 1961 stipend structure)
• No accommodation, transport or travel allowance provided during selection or training

5. Selection Process

Based on availability and number of candidates, selection done by one or combination of:

• Short-listing on Academic Merit
• Written Test
• Interview

Subject to satisfactory document verification. GTRE is not obliged to shortlist all candidates who fulfil minimum requirements.

• NATS / NAPS Portal Profile Printout (mandatory — register before attending)
• 10th Marksheet and Certificate
• All semester/year-wise marksheets of qualifying examination
• Degree / Diploma / ITI Certificate OR Provisional Degree Certificate
• Aadhaar Card
• Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC – if applicable)
• Two recent passport-size photographs
• Duly filled Registration Form (Annexure-I) from advertisement
• Signed Undertaking (Annexure-II) from advertisement
• CGPA to Percentage conversion certificate from University (if marks in CGPA)
• Police Verification Certificate (from place of residence — last 1 year + permanent address)
• Physical Fitness Certificate from Government Hospital Medical Officer (prescribed format)

• NATS/NAPS registration is mandatory before attending — candidates without NATS/NAPS profile will not be considered
• Candidates who passed qualifying exam before 2022 are NOT eligible — strictly 2022 and later only
• Those with higher qualification or 1+ year experience after qualifying degree are NOT eligible
• No employment guarantee after completion of apprenticeship training — GTRE does not offer jobs to apprentices
• Character/antecedent police verification certificate required before joining
• Selected candidates will be informed via email only — no correspondence entertained with non-selected candidates
• Results published on www.drdo.gov.in
• GTRE reserves right to increase/decrease vacancies or cancel process without notice
• Canvassing in any form leads to disqualification
