Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor's Degree from recognized University
• Basic Computer Knowledge Certificate (mandatory)
• Knowledge of Gujarati/Hindi language

Age Limit:

• Minimum: 20 years
• Maximum: 35 years (as on 20/02/2026)
• Age relaxation for reserved categories as per rules

Age Relaxation:

• General Category Women: 5 years
• Reserved Category Men: 5 years
• Reserved Category Women: 10 years
• PWD Candidates: 10-20 years (as applicable)
• Ex-Servicemen: As per service period + 3 years

Selection Process:

Stage 1 - Preliminary Examination (CBT):

• English: 15 marks
• Gujarati: 15 marks
• General Awareness & Current Affairs: 30 marks
• Quantitative Aptitude: 30 marks
• Reasoning: 60 marks
• Total: 150 marks
• Duration: 120 minutes
• Negative Marking: 0.25 marks per wrong answer
• 7 times candidates (of vacancy) qualify for Main Exam

Stage 2 - Main Examination:

For Group-A (Descriptive):

• Paper-I: Gujarati Language: 100 marks (3 hours)
• Paper-II: English Language: 100 marks (3 hours)
• Paper-III: General Studies: 150 marks (3 hours)
• Total: 350 marks

For Group-B (MCQ):

• Single Paper covering:
  • Indian Constitution & State System: 20 marks
  • Indian Economy: 20 marks
  • Public Administration: 20 marks
  • Ethics in Public Service: 10 marks
  • Government Schemes: 30 marks
  • Current Affairs: 30 marks
  • Gujarat History & Geography: 20 marks
  • Gujarat Cultural Heritage: 10 marks
  • Gujarati & English: 20 marks
  • Science & IT: 20 marks
• Total: 200 marks
• Duration: 120 minutes

Minimum Qualifying Marks: 40% in each paper

Reservation Details:

• Unreserved (General): As per vacancy
• SC/ST: As per Gujarat Government rules
• SEBC: With Non-Creamy Layer certificate
• EWS: With income certificate
• Women: Reserved seats in each category
• Ex-Servicemen: 10% horizontal reservation
• PWD: As per disability-wise vacancies
