Educational Qualification

• Science Subjects: Passed Intermediate/10+2/Equivalent with Mathematics, Physics and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% in English OR Three years Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile/Computer Science/Instrumentation Technology/IT) with 50% marks OR Two years Vocational Course with Physics and Mathematics with 50% marks
• Other than Science Subjects: Passed Intermediate/10+2/Equivalent in any stream with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% in English OR Two years Vocational Course with minimum 50% marks
• Candidates eligible for Science Subjects are also eligible to appear in both Science and Other than Science examinations in one sitting
• Only unmarried candidates eligible; must not marry during 4-year engagement period; female candidates must not become pregnant during engagement

Salary

• Agniveer package: Rs. 30,000/month (1st year), Rs. 33,000/month (2nd year), Rs. 36,500/month (3rd year), Rs. 40,000/month (4th year)
• In-hand (70%): Rs. 21,000 to Rs. 28,000/month depending on year
• Contribution to Agniveer Corpus Fund and matching GoI contribution: Rs. 9,000 to Rs. 12,000/month depending on year
• Total Seva Nidhi Package after 4 years: approximately Rs. 10.04 lakhs (excluding interest)
• Additional Risk and Hardship allowances, Dress and Travel allowances, ration, clothing, accommodation, LTC as per existing rules
• Non-contributory Life Insurance cover of Rs. 48 Lakhs during engagement period

Age Limit

• Candidates born between 01 July 2005 and 01 January 2010 (both dates inclusive)
• Upper age limit as on date of enrolment should be 22 years

Selection Process

• Stage 1: Phase-I Online Test (Science Subjects/Other than Science Subjects/Both)
• Stage 2: Phase-II - Physical Fitness Test (PFT-I and PFT-II), Adaptability Test-I and Adaptability Test-II
• Stage 3: Phase-III - Medical Examination

Important Notes

• Online exam (Phase-I) scheduled for 22-23 September 2026
• Enrolment period: 4 years under Air Force Act 1950; up to 25% of each batch may be offered enrolment in regular cadre as Airmen based on performance
• Agniveervayu not entitled to Ex-Servicemen (ESM) status after discharge
• Domicile Category (Permanent Domicile/COAFP-I/COAFP-II) must be chosen and declared; cannot be changed later
• Medical standards include minimum height 152 cms (with relaxations for NE/hilly Uttarakhand/Lakshadweep female candidates), specific chest, hearing, dental and visual standards
• Permanent body tattoos not permitted except on inner forearms and back of hand; Sikh candidates permitted to retain hair/beard/moustache as per religious custom
• Negative marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer in Phase-I online test
• Candidates must qualify in each paper individually (Science Subjects and Other than Science Subjects)
• Provisional Select List (PSL) valid for six months from date of display; to be published last week of May 2027
• No TA/DA admissible for any stage of selection process
