1. Post Name & Vacancy Details

Table A – HEMM Operator (Trainee) – Total: 472 Posts

Table B – Paramedical Staff – Total: 75 Posts

Table C – Overseer (Civil) – Total: 30 Posts

2. Educational Qualification

HEMM Operators (All 6 Posts):

• Matriculate / SSC / High School or equivalent from any recognised Board
• Valid HMV / Transport License from any RTA/RTO of Indian State (must be valid as on 01.05.2026)
• Minimum 55% marks in Matriculation (UR/EWS); 50% (OBC-NCL); 45% (SC/ST)

Staff Nurse (Trainee):

• 10+2 + B.Sc. Nursing OR Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery from recognised institute
• Valid registration from any State Nursing Council

Pharmacist (Trainee):

• 10+2 with Science + Diploma in Pharmacy from recognised Pharmacy Council institute
• Valid registration under Pharmacy Act 1948

Technician Pathological (Trainee):

• Diploma in Pathology from Government recognised institute

Technician Dental (Trainee):

• 10+2 / Higher Secondary + Diploma in Dentistry/Dental Technology

Physiotherapist (Trainee):

• Diploma in Physiotherapy (minimum 3 years course) from Government recognised institute

Technician Refraction/Optometry (Trainee):

• 10+2 / Higher Secondary + Diploma in Refraction/Optometry

Technician Radiographer (Trainee):

• Diploma in Radiography from Government recognised institute

Jr. Technician ECG (Trainee):

• 10+2 / Higher Secondary + 2 years experience as ECG Technician in a hospital under a Cardiologist/Physician

Overseer (Civil):

• Matriculation or equivalent + Recognised Diploma in Civil Engineering (3 years course)

3. Age Limit (as on Cut-Off Date: 01.05.2026)

• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• Maximum Age: 30 Years

Age Relaxation:

Maximum age after any relaxation must not exceed 52 years

4. Salary / Pay Scale

Additional Benefits: DA, Attendance Bonus, Special Allowance, Transport Subsidy, Medical Facility as per NCWA-XI / Company rules.

After successful completion of training: HEMM Operators promoted to Excavation Category D; Paramedical staff regularised in respective T&S Grade.

5. Selection Process

Computer Based Test (CBT) – 100 Marks | 90 Minutes | No Negative Marking

For HEMM Operators:

• Common paper for all HEMM posts
• 100 MCQ × 1 mark = 100 Marks
• Topics: Road signs, Traffic rules, Motor Vehicle Act, Machine knowledge, General Awareness, Basic Maths

For Paramedical Staff & Overseer Civil:

• Section A (Technical – 70 questions): Post-specific domain knowledge
• Section B (General – 30 questions): GK, General Awareness, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude
• Total: 100 marks

Minimum Qualifying Marks (Cut-off):

• Question paper: Bilingual (English & Hindi) — English version is final in case of discrepancy
• No TA/DA for CBT; SC/ST candidates get 2nd class non-AC rail fare
• Document verification after CBT for shortlisted candidates only

• Nursing Council Registration Certificate (for Staff Nurse)
• Pharmacy Council Registration Certificate (for Pharmacist)
• OBC (NCL) Certificate – Central List, not older than 1 year from advertisement date
• SC / ST Certificate from competent authority
• EWS Certificate (Income & Asset Certificate) – for FY 2025-26, valid for FY 2026-27
• PwBD Certificate (minimum 40% disability from competent authority)
• Ex-Servicemen Discharge Certificate
• NOC from present employer (if working in Govt./PSU)
• Salary slips and ITR/Form 16 (for post-qualification work experience claims – ECG Technician)

• Only one post allowed per candidate — choose carefully before applying
• OBC (NCL) certificate must be from the Central List only and must not be more than 1 year old as on the date of advertisement
• Learning Licence will NOT be treated as valid HMV/Transport licence for HEMM posts
• Selected candidates can be posted anywhere in NCL mines/hospitals and transferred to other CIL subsidiaries during service
• Appointment subject to Medical Examination at Ispat Hospital, Shyamali, Ranchi
