Educational Qualification

• Mining Sirdar T&S Gr. C: Matriculate or equivalent, plus valid Mining Sirdarship Certificate of Competency issued by DGMS under Coal Mines Regulation 2017, plus valid Gas Testing Certificate and valid First Aid Certificate
• OR Matriculate plus Degree/Diploma in Mining Engineering from recognized Institute, plus valid Overman Competency Certificate issued by DGMS, plus valid Gas Testing Certificate and First Aid Certificate
• Surveyor T&S Gr. B (Mining): Matriculate plus valid Surveyors' Certificate of Competency (SCC) granted under Coal Mines Regulation 2017
• OR Degree/Diploma in Mining/Mine Surveying Engineering from recognized Institute plus valid SCC
• Minimum qualifications acquired through distance learning/part-time will not be considered

Salary

• Mining Sirdar T&S Gr. C: Basic pay Rs. 47,330.25 per month
• Surveyor T&S Gr. B: Basic pay Rs. 51,103.12 per month
• Other allowances: DA, attendance bonus, special allowance, transport subsidy, Medical Facility as per Company's rules/National Coal Wage Agreement (NCWA-XI)
• Probation period: 06 months for both posts

Age Limit

• Minimum 18 years, Maximum 30 years as on Crucial Date (05/08/2026)
• SC/ST relaxation: 5 years
• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Centre List relaxation: 3 years
• General/EWS: No relaxation
• Ex-Servicemen (ESM): Actual period of service rendered in defense services + 3 years (cumulative relaxation for SC/ST/OBC also covered under ESM, subject to age not exceeding 50 years)
• Departmental Candidates (CIL employees): No upper age limit

Important Notes

• CBT will be of 100 marks for 90 minutes, with Section-A (70 MCQs on technical/discipline knowledge) and Section-B (30 MCQs on General Knowledge, General Awareness, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude)
• No penalty for wrong answers; question paper bilingual (English and Hindi), English version valid in case of ambiguity
• Minimum cut-off marks: UR/EWS - 50 marks; SC/ST/ESM/OBC-NCL - 40 marks (out of 100)
• Selected candidates could be posted at any Mines/Establishments of NCL and liable to be transferred to other Coal India Limited subsidiaries
• Candidates employed in Govt./PSU/Autonomous Bodies must produce NOC at time of document verification
• No relaxation in minimum educational qualification for any category
