2. Educational Qualification (as on 01.04.2026)
Officer in Grade 'B' – GENERAL:
- Graduation in any discipline with minimum 60% marks (aggregate of all semesters)
- OR Post-Graduation in any discipline with minimum 55% marks
- SC/ST/PwBD (reserved posts): Graduation 50% | PG pass marks
- Graduation must be: 3+ year course after Class XII from recognised University
Officer in Grade 'B' – DEPR (Economics Research):
- MA/MSc in Economics OR related field (Quantitative Economics, Mathematical Economics, Applied Economics, Econometrics, Financial Economics, Business/Agricultural/Industrial/Development/International Economics — where Economics is principal constituent of syllabus ≥50%)
- OR MA/MSc in Finance OR related (Quantitative/Mathematical/International Finance etc. — where Finance is principal constituent)
- Minimum 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD reserved posts)
- Desirable: PhD in Economics, research/teaching experience, publications
Officer in Grade 'B' – DSIM (Statistics & Data Science):
- Master's Degree (55%) in Statistics / Mathematics / Mathematical Statistics / Applied Statistics / Quantitative Economics / Econometrics / Informatics / Data Science / AI / Machine Learning / Big Data Analytics
- OR 4-year Bachelor's Degree (60%) in above subjects

Important Notes
- Cannot apply for both DEPR and DSIM — choose one specialist cadre only
- Maximum 6 attempts for General/EWS category — check attempt count before applying
- OBC-NCL certificate must be issued on or after 01.04.2026
- EWS certificate must be valid for FY 2026-27 (based on FY 2025-26 income)
- Only Permanent Disability Certificate accepted for PwBD — temporary disability not accepted
- Phase-II for General cadre: all 3 papers in different shifts same day — all mandatory
