1. Post Name & Vacancy Details

Note: Vacancies are tentative and may increase/decrease. A waitlist panel will also be prepared for unforeseen vacancies within 1 year of empanelment.

After successful completion of 6-month training, trainees will be absorbed in Grade A6 – Operator (Chemical) Grade-II in Pay Scale ₹22,000–₹60,000.

2. Educational Qualification (Any ONE of the following three options)

Option 1:

• Full-time regular B.Sc. (Chemistry) Degree from UGC/AICTE recognised University with Physics as one subject in any year of B.Sc.
• AND Passing of NCVT examination in AO (CP) – Attendant Operator (Chemical Plant) Trade — must be completed after B.Sc. degree
• Minimum 55% marks in last year or average of aggregate of last 2 semesters of B.Sc. (50% for SC/ST)

Option 2a:

• Full-time regular 3-year Diploma in Chemical Engineering/Technology from UGC/AICTE recognised University
• AND Successful completion of 1-year Training (BOAT) under Apprentice Act 1961 — must be completed after Diploma
• Minimum 55% marks in Diploma (50% for SC/ST)

Option 2b:

• Candidates with HSC (Science) who took direct admission to 2nd year/3rd Semester of 3-year Diploma in Chemical Engineering/Technology
• AND Successful completion of 1-year BOAT training after Diploma
• Same percentage criteria as above

Option 3a:

• Full-time regular 4-year (8 Semester) or 3½-year (7 Semester) Diploma in Chemical Engineering/Technology under Sandwich Pattern from UGC/AICTE recognised University (includes 1-year/6-months Industrial Training)
• Minimum 55% marks in last year/average of last 2 semesters (50% for SC/ST)

Option 3b:

• Candidates with HSC (Science) who took direct admission to 2nd year/3rd Semester of above 4-year/3½-year Sandwich Diploma
• Same percentage criteria as above

Important: Allied branches like "Chemical and Petrochemical Engineering" are acceptable only if the diploma/certificate has Chemical Engineering/Technology on a primary position. Courses like "Automation & Robotics Engineering" etc. where Chemical is NOT primary are NOT accepted.

Candidates in final year of Graduation/Post Graduation are NOT eligible to apply.

During 6-Month Training Period:

• Consolidated Stipend: ₹22,000/- per month
• Free hostel/quarter accommodation on sharing basis
• Free medical facility at RCF Hospital

After Absorption in A6 Grade (Operator Chemical Grade-II):

5. Selection Process

Stage 1 – Online Test (Computer Based, Objective Type):

• Duration: 90 minutes
• Total Questions: 100
• Total Marks: 200

• Medium: Marathi, Hindi (Rajbhasha) and English
• Negative marking applicable for wrong answers
• Test Centres: Mumbai and Nagpur only

Stage 2 – Skill Test (Qualifying Nature):

• Called in ratio of 1:7 (7 candidates per vacancy) based on Online Test merit
• Total marks: 100

• Qualifying marks: 60/100 (55/100 for SC/ST)
• Skill test is qualifying only — does not carry weightage in final merit

Final Merit: Based 100% on Online Test marks

Tie-breaking criteria:

1. Higher % marks in SSC (10th)
2. Date of Birth (older candidate preferred)
3. Earlier Application Number

Pre-Employment Medical Exam: Mandatory before final appointment (Physical exam, ECG, audiometry, vision test, X-ray, blood/urine tests, lung function test, BMI etc.)

• Category Certificate — SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PwBD (in prescribed Government format)
• OBC NCL Certificate issued on or after 01 April 2025
• EWS Income & Asset Certificate issued on or after 01 April 2025
• NOC from present employer (if working in Central/State Govt./PSU/Autonomous Body)
