Educational Qualification

• Assistant/UDC (Post No. 1, 3, 5): Graduation with minimum 60% marks or CGPA of 6.32 on 10-point scale, completed within stipulated duration; plus proficiency in computers
• JPA/Stenographer (Post No. 2, 4, 6): Graduation with minimum 60% marks/CGPA 6.32, OR Diploma in Commercial/Secretarial Practice with minimum 60% marks/CGPA 6.32 plus 1 year experience as Steno-Typist/Stenographer; minimum 60 wpm speed in English Stenography; proficiency in computers

Salary

• Basic Pay: Minimum ₹25,500/- p.m. (Level 4 of Pay Matrix)
• Allowances: DA, HRA, Transport Allowance as per extant rules; New Pension Scheme, medical facilities, subsidised canteen, limited quarters facility, LTC, Group Insurance, House Building Advance as per Central Govt orders

• OBC relaxation: up to 31 years

Application Fee

• All candidates initially pay: Rs. 500 (processing fee)
• General/OBC/EWS: Rs. 100 deducted, remaining refunded on attending written test
• Women/SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen: Full Rs. 500 refunded on attending written test
• Combined post fee (Assistant/UDC + JPA/Stenographer): Rs. 1000

Selection Process

• Written Test (Objective type, 150 minutes)
• Skill Test (Computer Literacy Test for Assistant/UDC; Computer Literacy + Stenography Test for JPA/Stenographer)

How To Apply

• Step 1: Visit ISRO website between 27-07-2026 (10:00 AM) and 16-08-2026 (11:55 PM)
• Step 2: Register online and obtain Registration Number
• Step 3: Upload photograph, signature, and relevant category certificates (SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-servicemen)
• Step 4: Pay application fee online
• Step 5: Submit application; candidates may apply for multiple posts in same/different zones but not same post in different zones

Important Notes

• Written test to be conducted at 38 venues across India
• Qualifying marks: 50% for UR, 40% for reserved categories (Assistant/UDC); 50% for UR, 40% for reserved (JPA/Stenographer) in written test
• Skill test shortlisting ratio: 1:5 (minimum 10 candidates) based on written test performance
• Posts are temporary but likely to continue; selected candidates liable to be posted at any ISRO/DOS Centre/Unit
• No TA paid for Written Test; TA paid for Skill Test only (2nd class train fare)
• English version of notification prevails in case of discrepancy with Hindi version
