Step-by-Step Application Process:

Step 1: Visit Official Website

• Go to www.rbi.org.in
• Click on "Opportunities @ RBI" or "Recruitment"
• Find "Recruitment for the Post of Assistant – Panel Year 2025"

Step 2: Online Registration

• Click on "Apply Online" link
• Register with valid Email ID and Mobile Number
• Note down Registration Number/Application Number

Step 3: Fill Application Form

• Login with Registration credentials
• Fill all mandatory fields marked with asterisk (*)
• Provide accurate personal, educational, and contact details
• Select preferred examination center

Step 4: Upload Documents

• Upload recent passport-size photograph (JPG format, max 10 KB)
  • Dimensions: 5 cm height × 3.6 cm width
• Upload signature (JPG format, max 10 KB)
  • Dimensions: 2.5 cm height × 7.5 cm width
• Ensure clear and legible scanned copies

Step 5: Pay Application Fee

• Pay fees online through Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking
• Save payment receipt for future reference

Step 6: Submit Application

• Review all entered information carefully
• Submit the application form
• Take printout of submitted application for future reference

2. Educational Qualification

Minimum Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized University
• Minimum 50% marks in aggregate (pass class for SC/ST/PwBD candidates)
• Knowledge of word processing on PC

For Ex-servicemen: Either a graduate from recognized University OR passed matriculation/equivalent examination of Armed Forces with at least 15 years of defense service

Language Proficiency: Candidates must be proficient in the language of the state/recruiting office where applying

3. Age Limit (as on 01/02/2026)

Minimum Age: 20 years Maximum Age: 28 years

Eligible Date of Birth: Between 02/02/1998 and 01/02/2006 (both days inclusive)

Age Relaxation:

• SC/ST: Up to 5 years (maximum 33 years)
• OBC: Up to 3 years (maximum 31 years)
• PwBD: 10 years for GEN/EWS, 13 years for OBC, 15 years for SC/ST
• Ex-Servicemen: As per service rendered plus 3 years (maximum 50 years)
• Widows/Divorced women: Up to 35 years (40 years for SC/ST)
• RBI work experience: Up to extent of experience (maximum 3 years)

Note: Cumulative age relaxation not available

4. Salary / Pay Scale

Basic Pay: ₹29,000/- per month

Pay Scale: ₹29,000-1700(3)-34,100-2040(4)-42,260-2720(6)-58,580-2950(2)-64,480-3370(3)-74,590-4050(1)-78,640

5. Selection Process

The selection will be through a three-stage process:

Stage 1: Preliminary Examination (Online)

• English Language: 30 questions (30 marks) - 20 minutes
• Numerical Ability: 35 questions (35 marks) - 20 minutes
• Reasoning Ability: 35 questions (35 marks) - 20 minutes
• Total: 100 questions, 100 marks, 60 minutes

Stage 2: Main Examination (Online)

• Test of Reasoning: 40 questions (40 marks) - 30 minutes
• Test of English Language: 40 questions (40 marks) - 30 minutes
• Test of Numerical Ability: 40 questions (40 marks) - 30 minutes
• Test of General Awareness: 40 questions (40 marks) - 25 minutes
• Test of Computer Knowledge: 40 questions (40 marks) - 20 minutes
• Total: 200 questions, 200 marks, 135 minutes

Stage 3: Language Proficiency Test (LPT)

• Mandatory for shortlisted candidates
• Conducted in Official/Local Language of the concerned state
• No exemption given
• Candidates not proficient will be disqualified

Important Notes:

• Negative marking: 1/4th marks deducted for each wrong answer
• Candidates must qualify in each part separately
• Approximately 10 times candidates shortlisted for Preliminary
• Approximately 2 times candidates shortlisted for Main Examination

6. Application Fee
