Educational Qualification

• Bachelor Degree in Occupational Therapy obtained from a recognized University/Institution established under Central or State Act in India, or deemed University under UGC Act 1956
• Basic knowledge of computer application as prescribed in Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967
• Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both
• Educational qualification prescribed by Health and Family Welfare Department resolution dated 08/10/2018 for direct recruitment of Occupational Therapist, Class-3 shall be applicable

Salary

• Fixed pay of Rs. 49,600/- per month for first five years
• After five years of satisfactory service, eligible for regular appointment in pay scale of Rs. 39,900 to Rs. 1,26,600 (Level-7) as per 7th Pay Commission
• Subject to the outcome of Supreme Court SLP No.14124/2012 and SLP No.14125/2012

• Minimum 18 years, Maximum 35 years as on 03/08/2026
• General category female candidates: 5 years relaxation
• Reserved category male candidates: 5 years relaxation
• Reserved category female candidates: 10 years relaxation (maximum 45 years)
• General category disabled male candidates: 10 years relaxation (maximum 45 years)
• General category disabled female candidates: 15 years relaxation (maximum 45 years)
• Reserved category disabled male candidates: 15 years relaxation (maximum 45 years)
• Reserved category disabled female candidates: 20 years relaxation (maximum 45 years)
• Ex-servicemen: relaxation equal to service period rendered plus 3 years

Important Notes

• Online application period: 20/07/2026 (2:00 PM) to 03/08/2026 (11:59 PM)
• Examination pattern: Part-A (90 marks - Logical Tests & Data Interpretation, Mathematical Tests, Constitution of India/Current Affairs/Gujarati & English Comprehension) and Part-B (120 marks - subject related to educational qualification); total 210 questions, 3 hours combined duration
• Negative marking: 1/4 mark deducted for each wrong answer
• Minimum qualifying standard: 40% separately in both Part-A and Part-B
• Additional 5% marks for widow candidates (subject to not being remarried) and for candidates with valid sports certificates (National/International, Inter-University, or All India School Federation level)
• Fee once paid is non-refundable except for candidates who appear in the examination
• Scribe/Compensatory time facility available for eligible disabled candidates as per prescribed norms
