શિક્ષણ વિભાગ, સચિવાલય ગાંધીનગરના જાહેરનામા ક્રમાંક: ED/MSM/e-file/3/2022/5921/G, તા.૨૯/૦૪/૨૦૨૩ થી રાજ્યીય શિક્ષણ નીતિ 2020 અને મિશન સ્કૂલ ઓફ એક્સેલન્સના લક્ષ્યો મુજબ ગુણવત્તાયુક્ત શિક્ષણના હેતુ માટે વિસ્તરીય સ્વરૂપ સાથે "શિક્ષક અભિરુચિ કસોટી" (Teacher Aptitude Test – TAT) ના આયોજન બાબતે હરાવલ કરવામાં આવેલ છે.

The Gujarat State Examination Board, Gandhinagar is conducting the Teacher Aptitude Test (TAT) - Secondary 2026 based on National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and Gujarat Teacher Policy 2020 for recruitment to secondary teacher positions in Gujarat.

About Teacher Aptitude Test (TAT):

This examination is designed to assess the teaching aptitude and subject knowledge of candidates aspiring to become secondary school teachers in Gujarat. The test evaluates:

1. Vocational Skills (વ્યાવસાયિક કૌશલ્યો): Teaching aptitude and pedagogical skills
2. Subject Knowledge: Mastery in the chosen teaching subject
3. Language Skills: Communication abilities in the medium of instruction
4. Pedagogical Understanding: Modern teaching methodologies
5. Educational Psychology: Understanding student psychology and learning processes

Scope of TAT Certificate:

The TAT qualification certificate is valid for:

• Government secondary schools in Gujarat
• Grant-in-aid secondary schools
• Self-financed secondary schools (subject to school management requirements)

Candidates qualifying TAT can apply for various secondary teacher recruitment notifications issued by:

• Education Department, Gujarat
• District Education Offices
• Schools directly (for self-financed positions)

Teaching Subjects Available:

As per NEP 2020, candidates can appear for TAT in various subjects including:

• Inter-Disciplinary and Multi-Disciplinary Skill Sets
• Science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics)

📚 Eligibility Criteria (પાત્રતા શરતો):

1. Educational Qualification (શૈક્ષણિક લાયકાત):

For Secondary Teacher Posts:

As per National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and Gujarat Teacher Policy 2020:

Essential Qualifications:

• 12th Pass (Higher Secondary Certificate) OR equivalent
• Graduation Degree in relevant subject (Bachelor of Arts/Science/Commerce)
• B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) qualification COMPULSORY

OR

• 4-Year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) as per NEP 2020

Subject-Specific Qualifications:

For teaching a specific subject, candidate must have studied that subject at:

• Graduation level (Bachelor's Degree) OR
• Post-Graduation level (Master's Degree)

Special Requirements:

1. For Science Teachers:
   • B.Sc. with concerned science subjects + B.Ed.
2. For Language Teachers:
   • B.A. with concerned language + B.Ed.
3. For Mathematics Teachers:
   • B.Sc./B.A. with Mathematics + B.Ed.
4. For Social Science Teachers:
   • B.A./B.Sc. with social science subjects + B.Ed.

Computer Teacher Specific Qualification:

• BCA/B.Sc.(IT)/B.E./B.Tech (Computer) + B.Ed.

Physical Education Teacher:

• B.P.Ed. (Bachelor of Physical Education)

Note:

• Candidates appearing in final year B.Ed. examination can also apply
• Must produce passing certificate before final appointment
• Foreign degrees must be approved by competent authority

2. Age Limit (ઉંમર મર્યાદા):

As on Last Date of Application (18.02.2026):

Minimum Age: 18 years

Maximum Age: 33 years

Age Relaxation (ઉંમર છૂટછાટ):

• Age relaxation as per Gujarat Government Recruitment Rules
• Documentary proof required at the time of certificate verification

3. Nationality (રાષ્ટ્રીયતા):

• Indian Citizen
• Domicile of Gujarat State preferred

4. Physical Standards (શારીરિક માપદંડ):

Candidates must be:

• Physically and mentally fit for teaching profession
• Must meet medical standards as per Government rules
• Medical fitness certificate required at time of appointment

For PwBD Candidates:

• Must possess 40% or more disability certificate
• Should be able to perform teaching duties
• Functional classification as per RPwD Act 2016

📝 Selection Process (પસંદગી પ્રક્રિયા):

Stage 1: Written Examination (TAT)

Critical Instructions for Candidates:

1. Regarding Application:

3. Category Certificate Requirements:

SC/ST Candidates:

• સ્વયંનિર્ણય પ્રમાણપત્ર (Self-declaration certificate) or
• Valid Caste Certificate from Competent Authority
• Certificate should mention "આ પ્રમાણપત્ર માત્ર નોકરી મેળવવા માટે વેલીડ છે" (Valid for employment purpose)

SEBC (OBC) Candidates:

• Caste Certificate issued after 01.04.2025
• Non-Creamy Layer Certificate for current financial year
• Certificate format as per Government resolution

EWS Candidates:

• Income & Asset Certificate for FY 2024-25
• Issued by Competent Authority (Mamlatdar or above)
• Valid from 01.04.2025 onwards

PwBD Candidates:

• Medical Board Certificate showing 40% or more disability
• Functional classification as per RPwD Act 2016
• Issued by Government Medical Board only

4. Examination Related:

• 📅 Exam date will be announced on website - check regularly
• 📋 Admit Card mandatory to appear in exam
• 🆔 Carry original Photo ID proof on exam day (Aadhaar/Voter ID/PAN/Passport/Driving License)
• ⏰ Report to exam center 30 minutes before exam time
• ❌ No entry after gate closure time
• 📱 Mobile phones strictly prohibited in exam hall
• ✏️ Carry own stationery as required
• 🚫 No calculator or electronic devices allowed (except as specified)

5. Admit Card Instructions:

• 🖨️ Download from ojas.gujarat.gov.in only
• 📧 No Admit Card sent by post or email
• ✅ Verify all details on Admit Card
• 📞 Report discrepancies immediately to gseb21@gmail.com
• 🖨️ Take color printout (black & white also acceptable)
• 💳 Original Photo ID same as mentioned in application must be carried

6. On Examination Day:

• ⏰ Reach center 30 minutes before reporting time
• 🆔 Carry Admit Card + Original Photo ID (same as in application)
• ❌ No candidate allowed without Admit Card and Photo ID
• 📱 Mobile phones/smart watches/electronic devices strictly banned
• 💼 No bags/purses allowed inside examination hall
• 📝 Carry: Blue/Black ball pen, Pencil, Eraser
• ⚠️ Follow all instructions of invigilator
• 🚫 Any malpractice will lead to cancellation + ban

7. Answer Sheet/OMR Instructions:

• ✏️ Use only black/blue ball pen for OMR marking
• ❌ Don't use pencil for marking answers
• ✅ Fill Roll Number carefully and completely
• ✅ Mark Test Booklet Series (A/B/C/D) carefully
• ❌ Don't fold, tear, or damage OMR sheet
• ✅ Fill all mandatory details on OMR sheet
• ⚠️ Any mistake in OMR filling = rejection of answer sheet

8. After Examination:

• 📝 Objection window will be provided (if any)
• 📋 Results will be declared on sebexam.org
• 📄 Scorecard/Marksheet downloadable from website
• 🏆 No physical certificate sent by post
• ✅ Keep checking website for updates

9. Result & Merit List:

• 📊 Qualifying marks as per Government norms
• 📋 Category-wise merit list will be published
• 🎯 TAT qualification is necessary but not sufficient for appointment
• 📢 Separate recruitment notifications will be issued by Education Department
• ✅ TAT score validity as per Government rules
• 📄 Score card must be preserved for future recruitments

10. Unfair Means/Malpractice:

Strictly Prohibited Actions:

• ❌ Copying from any source
• ❌ Using mobile phone/electronic devices
• ❌ Talking to other candidates
• ❌ Impersonation
• ❌ Possessing any written material
• ❌ Creating disturbance in exam hall
• ❌ Misbehaving with invigilator/staff
• ❌ Violating any exam rule

Consequences:

• 🚫 Immediate expulsion from exam hall
• ⚠️ Cancellation of candidature
• 🔒 Ban from future examinations (3 years or permanent)
• ⚖️ Legal action as per Public Examinations Act
• 💰 Forfeiture of all claims

11. Special Instructions for PwBD Candidates:

• 🤝 Scribe facility available (if required)
• ⏰ Extra time: 20 minutes per hour
• 📝 Request for scribe must be made during application
• 👤 Scribe qualification: One level below candidate OR 12th pass
• 📄 PwBD certificate (40%+) mandatory
