All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Rajkot has released the AIIMS Rajkot Senior Resident Bharti 2026 notification, inviting applications from Indian citizens for 64 posts of Senior Residents (Non-Academic) across 25 departments, under the Govt. of India's Residency Scheme. Candidates holding a postgraduate medical degree such as MD, MS or DNB in the relevant specialty can apply online through the given Google Form link before 03rd October, 2026 (11:00 AM), followed by a walk-in interview on 08th October, 2026.
This advertisement is issued vide reference No. AIIMS/RJT/AS/SR/R-3/2026/3194 dated 17.09.2026. AIIMS Rajkot is an Institution of National Importance established under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY) by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. The appointment is purely temporary, for a period of 6 months or until the regular incumbent joins, whichever is earlier, and is full-time in nature with private practice of any kind prohibited. Departments in Anatomy and Biochemistry are open to both medical (MBBS) and non-medical candidates.

Qualification: Candidates must hold a postgraduate medical degree (MD/MS/DNB) or equivalent qualification recognized by NMC/NDC(DCI) in the relevant department, as detailed in Annexure-1 of the notification. For Anatomy, MD/DNB in Anatomy OR M.Sc (Anatomy) with Ph.D is accepted; for Biochemistry, MD/DNB in Biochemistry OR M.Sc (Biochemistry) with Ph.D is accepted. Both medical (MBBS) and non-medical candidates can apply for posts in Anatomy and Biochemistry departments.
Age Limit: Upper age limit is 45 years, relaxable as per Government of India rules. Reservation and relaxation are admissible as per Govt. of India rules on submission of a valid certificate issued by the competent authority.

Other Conditions: Candidates who have entered into or contracted a marriage with a person having a spouse living, or vice versa, are not eligible for appointment, subject to the Central Government's exemption provisions. Candidates already in Government service must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of document verification/interview.
