In short

BHEL Artisan Grade IV Bharti 2026 is an official recruitment notification from Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited for 660 Artisan Grade IV posts in 7 trades. Candidates with Class 10, ITI (NTC) and NAC in their trade can apply online at careers.bhel.in till 18 November 2026.

This recruitment is published as Advt. 01/2026. Some pages of the notification label it as Artisan Recruitment 2027, but the application dates are in 2026. Jobs are in nine BHEL manufacturing units: Boiler Auxiliaries Plant (Ranipet), Heavy Plates and Vessels Plant (Visakhapatnam), Electronics Division and Solar Business Division (both Bengaluru), Heavy Electrical Equipment Plant (Haridwar), Heavy Power Equipment Plant (Hyderabad), Heavy Electrical Plant (Bhopal), Transformer Plant (Jhansi) and High Pressure Boiler Plant (Tiruchirappalli).

BHEL was incorporated in 1964 as a Public Sector Undertaking and works in power, transportation, defence, aerospace, oil and gas, and renewable energy. There is no BHEL unit in Gujarat, so ITI-pass candidates from Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot and other Gujarat cities must be ready to work in another state. The manpower figures are tentative and may change after further assessment.

  • Only ONE unit and ONE trade allowed per candidate; if you submit more than one application, only the last one counts
  • Exam fee is nil for SC, ST, PwD and Ex-Servicemen, who pay only the processing fee
  • One-year temporary period as Temporary Artisan, then regularisation as Artisan Grade IV
  • Computer Based Exam on the same day for all trades, in Hindi, English or Kannada, Telugu or Tamil
  • Minimum CBE marks: 40% for UR/EWS and 30% for OBC (NCL)/SC/ST; relaxed to 30% and 22.5% for PwD and Ex-Servicemen shortlisting
  • Final merit list is based on CBE score only; the Skill Test is qualifying in nature
  • Minimum 20 years of service at the allotted unit, with no transfer request considered during this period
  • Best Apprentice gets 2 increments on joining; Runner-Up Apprentice starts at the minimum of the scale
