Eligibility

Cut-off Date for Eligibility: All eligibility conditions relating to qualification, age and experience must be fulfilled as on 01.02.2026. Only the Date of Issue printed on the passing certificate is considered for reckoning course completion.

Qualification Option 1 - B.Sc. Route:

  • Full time and regular B.Sc. (Chemistry) degree from a UGC/AICTE recognized University or Institution, with Physics as one of the subjects in any of the 3 years of the course.
  • Plus passing of the National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT) examination in Attendant Operator (Chemical Plant) - AO(CP) trade.
  • The NCVT AO(CP) certification must necessarily be completed after passing the B.Sc. (Chemistry) degree.

Qualification Option 2 - Diploma with BOAT Training:

  • Full time and regular three years Diploma in Chemical Engineering/Technology from a UGC/AICTE recognized University or Institution, plus successful completion of 1 year training (BOAT) under the Apprentice Act, 1961 (Amendment 1973).
  • Candidates with HSC (Science) who took direct admission to the second year / 3rd semester of the three year Diploma in Chemical Engineering/Technology, plus successful completion of the 1 year BOAT training, are also eligible.
  • The 1 year BOAT training must necessarily be completed after passing the Diploma.

Qualification Option 3 - Sandwich Pattern Diploma:

  • 4 years (8 semesters) or 3½ years (7 semesters) full time and regular Diploma in Chemical Engineering/Technology under Sandwich pattern from a UGC/AICTE recognized University or Institution.
  • Candidates with HSC (Science) who took direct admission to the second year / third semester of the above Sandwich pattern Diploma are also eligible.
  • The Sandwich pattern course must include 1 year / 6 months of Industrial Training.

Job Nature and Posting Conditions

  3. Selected candidates must meet RCF Ltd pre-employment medical and physical fitness standards, failing which they will be treated as ineligible.
  4. The general medical examination covers physical examination, audiometry, ECG, vision and eye tests, blood and urine pathology, chest X-ray (PA view), lung function test, height, weight, BMI and any other test recommended by the RCF Medical Officer.
  5. Being referred for medical examination does not mean final selection.

Category and Certificate Conditions

  1. The category (SC/ST/OBC/EWS) once submitted cannot be changed, and no benefit of any other category will be allowed later.
  2. OBC (NCL) and EWS certificates must be issued on or after 1st April 2025 in the prescribed Government of India proforma.
  3. Caste Validity should be submitted at the online application stage; otherwise the receipt of application for caste validity may be submitted within one month of joining, with employment remaining provisional until the actual certificate is submitted within six months.
  4. OBC (NCL) candidates must give a self-declaration at the time of the Skill Test confirming their non-creamy layer status.
  5. Certificates issued in a language other than English, Hindi or Marathi must be accompanied by a self-certified translated copy in English or Hindi.

Exam Day and Identity Verification

  1. Candidates reporting after the reporting time printed on the call letter will not be permitted to take the examination; plan for about 4 hours at the venue.
  2. Carry the call letter along with the original and a self-attested photocopy of a currently valid photo identity proof such as PAN Card, Passport, Permanent Driving Licence, Voter's Card, Aadhaar/e-Aadhaar, Employee ID or a bank passbook with photograph.
  3. Ration Card and Learner's Driving Licence are not valid identity proofs.
  4. The name, photo and signature on the call letter must exactly match the photo identity proof - candidates who have changed their name must produce the original Gazette notification, marriage certificate or affidavit.
  5. SC/ST outstation candidates are reimbursed to and fro Bus/Sleeper class rail fare for the online test, and all outstation candidates are reimbursed Sleeper class train/bus fare for the Skill Test, on production of tickets.

Communication and Document Verification

  1. All communication will be sent only to the registered email ID of the candidate - no change of email, mobile number, address, category, post or exam centre is allowed after submission.
  2. Call letters for the online test and skill test must be downloaded from www.rcfltd.com; RCF is not responsible for delay or non-delivery of email or SMS intimation.
  3. Candidates must upload all required documents at the online application stage along with a declaration - failure to do so means the candidature will not be processed further.
  4. No further chance will be given to upload shortfall documents at the document scrutiny stage, and rejected candidates will not receive any further communication.
  5. Candidates with nil or negative marks in the online test are ineligible for document verification and the skill test.
