Educational Qualification:

  • For LDC/JSA and DEO/DEO Grade 'A' (except DEOs mentioned below): Passed 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.
  • For DEO/DEO Grade 'A' in Ministry of Consumer Affairs Food & Public Distribution, SSC and Ministry of Culture: 12th Standard pass in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized Board or equivalent.
  • Candidates who have appeared in their 12th Standard exam can also apply but must possess the qualification on or before 07-10-2026.

How to apply

  1. Visit the official SSC website at ssc.gov.in or download the 'my SSC' mobile app from the Google Play Store.
  2. If not already registered, complete the One-Time Registration (OTR) on the new website, since OTR from the old ssc.nic.in website will not work.
    • Keep your mobile number and email ID ready for OTP verification.
    • Keep Aadhaar Number or an alternate ID (Voter ID/PAN/Passport/Driving Licence) ready.
    • Keep details of your Matriculation Board, Roll Number and Year of Passing ready.
  3. Log in using your Registration Number and password, then click 'Apply' under the 'Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination 2026' link in the Latest Notifications tab.
  4. Fill in the application form details.
    • Highest and qualifying educational qualification details.
    • Ex-servicemen/age relaxation category, if applicable.
    • Three preferred Examination Centres within the same Region, in order of priority.
    • Medium of Computer Based Examination and Typing Test.
  5. Capture a live photograph through the application module (no pre-existing photo allowed) and upload a scanned signature in JPEG format (10-20 KB).
  6. PwBD/PwD candidates should upload the Disability Certificate in the prescribed Annexure format if seeking reservation, scribe or compensatory time.
  7. Preview the completed application carefully and verify all details before final submission.
  8. Pay the application fee (if applicable) online via BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or Visa/MasterCard/Maestro/RuPay Debit cards, before 08-10-2026.

Important notes

General Guidelines

  1. Only one application is allowed per candidate; multiple applications will lead to rejection and debarment.
  2. The 'Window for Application Form Correction' is open from 14-10-2026 to 16-10-2026, allowing up to two corrections on payment of Rs. 200 (first correction) and Rs. 500 (second correction).
  3. The schedule for Tier-I and Tier-II Computer Based Examinations will be notified later on the official website.
  4. Application fee and correction charges, once paid, are non-refundable and non-adjustable against any other exam.

Eligibility Conditions

  1. Candidates must ensure they meet all eligibility criteria (age, qualification, category) as admission to the exam is purely provisional.
  2. SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD/ESM candidates must produce the requisite certificate in the prescribed format at the time of Document Verification, failing which candidature will be cancelled.
  3. A person seeking OBC reservation must not fall in the creamy layer as on the closing date of application.

Application & Fee

  1. Application fee is Rs. 100; women candidates and SC/ST/PwBD/ESM candidates eligible for reservation are exempted.
  2. Applications with photographs/signatures not meeting the prescribed specifications are liable to be rejected, unless submitted via Aadhaar Based Authentication.

Communication & Document Verification

  1. Document Verification will be conducted by the User Ministries/Departments/Organizations after declaration of the final result.
  2. Post preference must be submitted through the Online Option Form before declaration of the First Round of Tentative Allocation (FRTA)/Result; options once submitted are final and irreversible.
  3. Communication with the Commission must always include Registration Number, Roll Number, registered Email-ID, Mobile Number, name, date of birth and exam name.

Malpractice & Debarment Warning

  1. Use of unfair means, impersonation, possession of mobile phones/electronic gadgets in the exam hall, or other malpractice will lead to cancellation of candidature and debarment ranging from 1 to 7 years, as per the Commission's policy.
  2. The Commission conducts post-exam scrutiny including log analysis, biometric verification and CCTV review to detect malpractice.
