The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have released short (indicative) notices for NTPC recruitment 2026, with a total of 5,165 tentative vacancies. Online applications open this month at rrbapply.gov.in.
Graduate level: CEN 06/2026 (3,477 posts)
- Goods Train Manager: 2,750
- Senior Clerk-cum-Typist: 371
- Junior Accounts Assistant-cum-Typist: 300
- Chief Commercial-cum-Ticket Supervisor: 56

Undergraduate (12th) level: CEN 07/2026 (1,688 posts)
- Commercial-cum-Ticket Clerk: 700
- Junior Clerk-cum-Typist: 600
- Accounts Clerk-cum-Typist: 200
- Trains Clerk: 188
- Applications: 15 October to 13 November 2026
Eligibility snapshot
Age is counted as on 1 January 2027. The Graduate posts are for ages 18 to 33 and the Undergraduate posts for ages 18 to 30, with relaxation for reserved categories as per rules. Selection includes CBT-1, CBT-2, a typing or aptitude test where the post needs one, document verification and a medical exam.
