The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) published a notice on 1 October 2026 listing proposed dates for three computer-based examinations (CBE) still to be held this year. If you have applied for any of these exams, you can now plan your preparation around these dates.
Tentative exam schedule
- Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) Exam 2026, Paper-I: 2 to 6 November 2026
- Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces (CPO) Exam 2026: 20 to 28 November 2026
- Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level (CHSL) Exam 2026, Tier-I: 30 November to 31 December 2026
Points to note
SSC says these dates are tentative. Separate notices for each exam will give final details, including the city intimation slip and admit card release. The Commission has asked candidates to keep checking its official website.
What aspirants should do
- JE candidates have about four weeks left. Focus on revising core technical subjects and practising full-length mock tests.
- CPO SI candidates should prepare for the CBE and also keep up their physical fitness for the PET/PST stage that comes next.
- CHSL candidates have a little more time, so use it to strengthen quantitative aptitude, English and general awareness.
- Download the official notice and look out for the city slip, which usually comes about 10 days before the exam.
