SSC CGL 2026 Tier 1 Exam Underway, Admit Cards Released in Phases
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) started the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) 2026 Tier 1 exam on 30 September 2026. The computer-based test will run until 30 October 2026, with several shifts on each exam day.
Admit cards come out in phases
SSC is not releasing every admit card on the same day. Each candidate's hall ticket comes out a few days before their own exam date. Admit cards for the 30 September exam were released from 27 September, and cards for the 1 October exam were available from 28 September. Candidates with later dates will get their admit cards closer to their exams.
Shift timings (30 September)
- Morning: 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM
- Afternoon: 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM
- Evening: 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM
How to download
- Visit the official SSC website, ssc.gov.in.
- Log in with your Registration Number and password.
- Open the CGL 2026 section and click the Tier 1 admit card link.
- Check your name, photo, exam date, shift, reporting time and centre address, then print the admit card.
What aspirants should do
Carry the printed admit card and a valid original photo ID to the exam centre. Download your hall ticket only from the official SSC portal, not from links shared on social media. If you have a later exam date, check the website regularly and use the remaining days for mock tests and revision of quantitative aptitude, reasoning, English and general awareness.
