Canteen Attendant – Complete Details
Educational Qualification
- Matriculation (10th Standard) or equivalent from any recognized Board, passed on or before 31.08.2026
- Candidates with higher qualification may also apply
Salary
- Basic Pay: Rs. 18,000 (Pay Level-1 in Pay Matrix, Rs. 18000-56900 as per 7th CPC)
- Probation period: 2 years
Age Limit
- 18-25 years as on 31.08.2026 (born between 01.09.2001 and 31.08.2008)
- OBC relaxation: 3 years
- SC/ST relaxation: 5 years
- PwBD (Unreserved) relaxation: 10 years
- Ex-Servicemen (ESM) relaxation: 3 years after deduction of military service from actual age
- Central Government Civilian Employees (3+ years regular service): up to 40 years
- Age relaxation not admissible to sons/daughters/dependents of Ex-Servicemen

- Stage 1: Scrutiny and Shortlisting (280 candidates, 40 per vacancy, based on Matriculation percentage)
- Stage 2: Objective Type Written Examination (40 questions, 30 minutes, English/Hindi Comprehension, Food & Nutrition, Quantitative Aptitude, Hygiene & Cleanliness)
- Stage 3: Skill Test (60 marks; 70 candidates shortlisted, 10 per vacancy) - beverage preparation, food handling, hygiene

- Step 2: Upload required documents (photograph, signature, Matriculation certificate, category certificates if applicable, Aadhar card)
- Step 3: Submit application online between 11.08.2026 and 31.08.2026 (23:00 hrs)
- No other mode of application (Post/Fax/Email/hand) will be accepted
Important Notes
- Written examination and Skill Test conducted only in Bhopal, MP; no other location
- Negative marking: 0.25 mark deducted for each wrong answer in written exam
- Question papers in Hindi & English; English version prevails in case of discrepancy
- No TA paid for attending written examination
- Scribe facility and compensatory time (10 minutes) provided to eligible PwBD candidates who opt for it in application
- Selected candidates subject to Medical Fitness and Character/Police Verification
- Selected candidates liable to be posted anywhere under jurisdiction of Pr. CCIT, MP & Chhattisgarh
- Waiting list maintained for non-joining/ineligible candidates
- Duties include preparing tea/coffee, serving in meetings, cleaning utensils, sweeping/cleaning canteen areas
- All disputes subject to Bhopal jurisdiction
