- MBBS with PG Degree/DNB/Diploma in concerned specialty from Government recognized universities/colleges
- Registration with Gujarat Medical Council or National Medical Council (candidates registered in other states must register in Gujarat Medical Council at time of joining)
- For Senior Resident (Nephrology): MBBS with PG Degree/DNB/Diploma in Medicine or Pediatrics from Government recognized Universities/Institution; preference given to DM/DNB Nephrology candidates

- Basic Pay: Rs. 67,700/- in Level-11 & Index-1 of Pay Matrix (Pre-revised Basic pay Rs. 18,750/- PB-3 with Grade Pay Rs. 6600/-)

Important Notes
- Tenure: Initially 1 year, extendable annually up to total 3 years based on satisfactory performance and requirement, or until regular faculty/SR posted in concerned department, whichever is earlier (includes any prior SR service in government institution)
- Selected candidates must pay Rs. 30,000/- Security Deposit and execute agreement on Rs. 300/- Non-Judicial Stamp paper at time of joining
- No claim for service benefits like PF, Pension, Gratuity, Medical allowance, Seniority, Promotion, Leave admissible
- No TA/DA paid for interview or joining; Private practice not allowed; Hostel accommodation/quarters not provided
- Candidates working in Govt./Private Hospital must produce NOC from department at time of interview
- Applicants who have completed 3 years of Senior Residency in any government hospital are NOT eligible to apply under this scheme
- Resignation requires 1 month notice period or pay in lieu thereof
