Educational Qualification

• B.E./B.Tech degree (or final year students) in notified Engineering streams from recognized University: Civil, Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, and Misc Engineering streams (Aeronautical, Metallurgical, Chemical, Textile, Mining, Biotechnology, etc.)
• Final year students eligible; must pass by 01.04.2027 and produce degree certificate within 12 weeks of PCTA training commencement
• Cumulative percentage up to relevant semester/year must not be below approved cut-off
• Candidates permitted to apply for only ONE engineering discipline
• Degree must be from UGC/AICTE/Act of Parliament recognized institutions; foreign degrees not accepted

Salary

• Training Stipend: Rs. 56,100/month (Level-10 starting pay)
• Post-commissioning: Lieutenant Level-10 (Rs. 56,100-1,77,500), CTC approx Rs. 17-18 Lakhs/annum (excluding free medical cover and annual home travel)
• Military Service Pay: Rs. 15,500/month (fixed, Lieutenant to Brigadier)
• Various allowances: Technical Allowance, Dress Allowance, Transport Allowance, Children Education Allowance, Field Area Allowances (as applicable)

• 20 to 27 years as on 01.04.2027 (candidates born between 01.04.2000 and 31.03.2007)

Important Notes

• Only for UNMARRIED MALE candidates
• Training duration: 49 weeks (Apr 2027 to Mar 2028) at Officers Training Academy, Gaya, Bihar
• SSB conducted at Prayagraj, Bhopal, Bengaluru, Jalandhar
• Minimum engagement period: 10 years; Maximum: 14 years; Permanent Commission option after 10 years
• Candidates must not marry during training period; marriage during training leads to discharge
• Minimum physical standards required: 2.4 km run (10:30 min), 40 push-ups, 6 pull-ups, 30 sit-ups, swimming basics
• Any variation in engineering stream nomenclature between degree and application leads to cancellation
• SSB medical validity: 270 days
• Selected candidates get Post Graduate Diploma in Military Studies & Defence Management from Magadh University
• Army Group Insurance Fund coverage: Rs. 1.25 Crore
• English version prevails in case of discrepancy with Hindi version
