In short

CA/CMA Intern NPCIL Bharti 2026 is a notification from the Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) for 51 practical-training internships in Finance and Accounts. Candidates who have passed the Inter level of CA or CMA can apply online until 26 October 2026 (5:00 PM).

The advertisement number is NPCIL/CACMA/2026/04. NPCIL is a central public sector enterprise under the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India. It is offering the internship at its Headquarters in Mumbai and at eight power-project sites across India, for the mutual benefit of students and NPCIL.

One of the sites, the Kakrapar Atomic Power Station (KAPS), is in Gujarat, so Gujarat candidates can choose it as a preferred location. This is a training programme, not a regular job. Interns are treated as trainees and not as NPCIL employees.

  • No application fee for any category of candidate
  • Tenure is 12 months, extendable by up to a further 12 months depending on institute requirements and the intern's performance
  • Screening is purely on aggregate marks in Inter CA/CMA; applicants without final marks will not be considered
  • Virtual interview - shortlisted candidates appear online from any location
  • Multiple location preference is allowed, but the interview is held for only one chosen site
  • Free benefits: site transport (subject to availability), OPD and first-aid facility; accommodation on payment of normal licence fee
  • Gujarat site available - KAPS, Kakrapar is one of the nine locations
  • Women applicants are encouraged to apply

Important notes

General Guidelines

  1. Screening is based on aggregate marks. Candidates who apply without final Inter CA/CMA marks will not be considered.
  2. Tie-break rules: (i) higher marks in Inter CA/CMA rank higher; (ii) if interview marks and Inter marks are equal, the older candidate ranks higher; (iii) if still equal, the name's alphabetical order (first, middle, surname) decides.
  3. The waitlist has as many names as the main list and is valid for one year from panel approval. It is used only if a selected candidate does not join in time, or resigns or dies within one year of joining.
  4. The waitlist will not be used after one year from panel approval, or after any new advertisement is notified, whichever is earlier.
  5. The number of seats may change depending on the extension or completion of existing interns. Selection may then be put on hold or cancelled, or offers issued after the earlier batch finishes.
  6. ST and OBC figures in the vacancy table include backlog vacancies.
  7. Working hours are 8 hours a day, including a 1-hour lunch break, 5 days a week, in the general shift.
  8. Each intern gets 1 paid leave per month (12 days for the full year, pro-rata for any extension). Absence beyond this leads to proportionate stipend deduction, and the intern must make up the training period to get the certificate.
  9. The completion certificate is issued only after the full training period is completed.
  10. Interns are not entitled to benefits other than those in the guidelines. Labour laws for employees do not apply to them, except compensation for injury under the Employees' Compensation Act, 1923.
  11. The traineeship can be cancelled without notice for violating discipline or safety and security instructions.
  12. NPCIL is not bound to offer a job after the internship.
  13. NPCIL may fill, alter, cancel, suspend or postpone the recruitment, change criteria or re-conduct the interview at any stage without notice, and is not liable for any loss to applicants.
  14. NPCIL may choose not to select anyone if no suitable candidate is found. Records of unselected candidates are kept for only 6 months after the select list is published.
  15. In case of any dispute over versions, the English version prevails. Legal jurisdiction is Mumbai.

Eligibility Conditions

  1. Check that you meet all eligibility criteria before applying. Ineligible candidates can be rejected at any stage, and a selected candidate found ineligible later can be terminated without notice or compensation.
  2. The category chosen in the online form (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PwBD) cannot be changed later. No request for change of category will be accepted.
  3. Selection will be purely on merit, subject to all eligibility conditions and Government of India reservation guidelines.

Application & Fee

  1. Apply only online. Handwritten, typed or hard-copy applications sent by post or in person will not be accepted. Do not send any documents to NPCIL.
  2. Applications received after the due date will be rejected summarily.
  3. If you submit more than one application, only the latest one is considered.
  4. Your email ID and mobile number should stay active for at least one year. The email ID cannot be changed once entered, and all future communication goes to it.
  5. An application without a valid photograph and signature will not be accepted. Your uploaded photo is printed on the call letter, and only the person whose photo is on it can appear for the interview.
  6. Applying for the internship is free of cost.

Communication & Document Verification

  1. Only screened-in candidates will be informed by email about further selection.
  2. The interview is held in virtual mode. Date and time cannot be changed on request.
  3. The e-Call Letter is available on the website after login, and the interview time and link are shown on it. Carry a clearly printed copy, or you will not be allowed to appear.
  4. Keep your Aadhaar card and online application form ready when reporting for the online interview.
  5. OBC (NCL) candidates called for interview must give an undertaking at reporting that they belong to the Non-Creamy Layer.
  6. Bring original documents, self-attested copies and a duly signed hard copy of the online application at certificate verification and medical examination. Without the required documents you will not be allowed to appear for the medical examination.
  7. An e-Call Letter does not give any right or claim to the internship.
  8. Check www.npcil.nic.in and www.npcilcareers.co.in regularly for updates, corrigenda and addenda. Telephone calls or letters to officials asking for information will not be entertained.

Fraud/Canvassing Warning

  1. Giving wrong information, submitting false documents, hiding relevant information, using unfair means, impersonation, or uploading a non-human or irrelevant photograph can lead to disqualification, prosecution and debarment. The application or appointment will be cancelled immediately.
