EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:
- Minimum one year Multi-Purpose Health Worker basic certificate course or Diploma course from a Government recognized educational institution
- OR minimum one year Sanitary Inspectors Diploma Course from a Government recognized educational institution
- OR minimum one year certificate course of Health Sanitary Inspectors from Industrial Training Institute or other Government recognized institute
- OR Diploma of Sanitary Inspector or Health Sanitary Inspector from any University established under Central or State Act in India
- Basic knowledge of computer application as prescribed in Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967
- Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both
- Post is for MALE candidates only; women candidates cannot apply
SALARY:
- Fixed pay of Rs. 26,000/- per month for first five years
- After five years of satisfactory service, eligible for regular appointment in pay scale of Rs. 19,900 to Rs. 63,200 (Level-2) as per 7th Pay Commission
- Subject to the outcome of Supreme Court SLP No.14124/2012 and SLP No.14125/2012
AGE LIMIT:
- Minimum 18 years, Maximum 33 years as on 31/07/2026
- Reserved category male candidates: 5 years relaxation (maximum 38 years)
- General category candidates with disability: 10 years relaxation (maximum 43 years)
- Reserved category candidates with disability: 15 years relaxation (maximum 45 years)
- Ex-servicemen: relaxation equal to service period rendered plus 3 years
- Upper age limit relaxable for candidates already in Gujarat Government service

- Step 2: Fill Personal Details, Educational Details, accept Assurance/declaration, and save to generate Application Number
- Step 3: Upload photograph and signature, confirm application to generate Confirmation Number, print application, and pay examination fee online by 03/08/2026
IMPORTANT NOTES:

- Tentative month of MCQ examination: November 2026
- Examination pattern: Part-A (90 marks - Reasoning & Data Interpretation, Quantitative Aptitude, Constitution of India, Current Affairs, Gujarati & English Comprehension) and Part-B (120 marks - subject related to educational qualification); total 210 questions, 3 hours combined duration
- Negative marking: 1/4 mark deducted for each wrong answer
- Minimum qualifying standard: 40% separately in both Part-A and Part-B
- Additional 5% marks for candidates with valid sports certificates (National/International, Inter-University, or All India School Federation level)
- Fee once paid is non-refundable except for candidates who appear in the examination
- Scribe/Compensatory time facility available for eligible disabled candidates as per prescribed norms
