EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: - Bachelor Degree in Occupational Therapy obtained from a recognized University/Institution established under Central or State Act in India, or deemed University under UGC Act 1956 - Basic knowledge of computer application as prescribed in Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967 - Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both - Educational qualification prescribed by Health and Family Welfare Department resolution dated 08/10/2018 for direct recruitment of Occupational Therapist, Class-3 shall be applicable SALARY: - Fixed pay of Rs. 49,600/- per month for first five years - After five years of satisfactory service, eligible for regular appointment in pay scale of Rs. 39,900 to Rs. 1,26,600 (Level-7) as per 7th Pay Commission - Subject to the outcome of Supreme Court SLP No.14124/2012 and SLP No.14125/2012 AGE LIMIT: - Minimum 18 years, Maximum 35 years as on 03/08/2026 - General category female candidates: 5 years relaxation - Reserved category male candidates: 5 years relaxation - Reserved category female candidates: 10 years relaxation (maximum 45 years) - General category disabled male candidates: 10 years relaxation (maximum 45 years) - General category disabled female candidates: 15 years relaxation (maximum 45 years) - Reserved category disabled male candidates: 15 years relaxation (maximum 45 years) - Reserved category disabled female candidates: 20 years relaxation (maximum 45 years) - Ex-servicemen: relaxation equal to service period rendered plus 3 years VACANCY DETAILS: - Occupational Therapist, Class-3 (Health and Family Welfare Department): 6 posts (Unreserved/General-4, ST-1, SEBC-1) APPLICATION FEE: - Unreserved category: Rs. 500 - Reserved category (Women of all categories, SEBC, SC, ST, EWS, PwD, Ex-servicemen): Rs. 400 - Payment mode: Online only through Debit Card/Internet Banking/UPI/Wallets; fee refunded to candidates who appear for the examination SELECTION PROCESS: - Stage 1: Computer Based Response Test (CBRT)/OMR based Objective MCQ Examination - Stage 2: Document Verification HOW TO APPLY: - Step 1: Visit https://ojas.gujarat.gov.in, select Online Application, choose GSSSB, and select Advertisement No. 438/2026-27 - Step 2: Fill Personal Details, Educational Details, accept Assurance/declaration, and save to generate Application Number - Step 3: Upload photograph and signature, confirm application to generate Confirmation Number, print application, and pay examination fee online by 06/08/2026 IMPORTANT NOTES: - Online application period: 20/07/2026 (2:00 PM) to 03/08/2026 (11:59 PM) - Examination pattern: Part-A (90 marks - Logical Tests & Data Interpretation, Mathematical Tests, Constitution of India/Current Affairs/Gujarati & English Comprehension) and Part-B (120 marks - subject related to educational qualification); total 210 questions, 3 hours combined duration - Negative marking: 1/4 mark deducted for each wrong answer - Minimum qualifying standard: 40% separately in both Part-A and Part-B - Additional 5% marks for widow candidates (subject to not being remarried) and for candidates with valid sports certificates (National/International, Inter-University, or All India School Federation level) - Fee once paid is non-refundable except for candidates who appear in the examination - Scribe/Compensatory time facility available for eligible disabled candidates as per prescribed norms
