Important notes

General Guidelines

  1. Vacancies and reserved seats are provisional and may change as per the bank's needs.
  2. The bank will allot the district as per vacancies; choosing a district does not guarantee it.
  3. Apprentices are trainees, not workers; EPF and ESI do not apply.
  4. Conduct is governed by rules for the bank's clerical cadre; misconduct can end the contract after 7 days' notice.
  5. Apprentices cannot join or form any union and must keep bank and customer information strictly secret.
  6. The contract ends automatically after 12 months and is normally not extended.
  7. Leaving midway requires paying one month's stipend; dropping out in a quarter requires refunding that quarter's stipend.
  8. Engagement is subject to medical fitness, and disputes fall under Chennai courts.
  9. The interview may or may not be held, at the bank's discretion.

Application & Fee

  1. Applications once registered cannot be withdrawn, and fees are not refunded or adjusted.
  2. Names must match certificates and marksheets exactly.
  3. Incomplete applications, unclear photos/signatures or failed payments will be rejected.
  4. Apply early to avoid website load issues near the last date.

Communication & Document Verification

  1. Call letters come by e-mail or are downloaded online; no hard copies are posted.
  2. Bring the call letter and a photocopy of a valid photo ID with the same name; Ration Card and Learner's Licence are not accepted.
  3. Biometric data and photo will be captured at the exam, document verification and joining; avoid mehndi or ink on fingers.
  4. The bank may allot any exam centre; no change of centre, date or venue is allowed.
  5. LLPT is held at a centre in the applied State/UT at the candidate's own cost.
  6. Outstation SC/ST/PwBD candidates called for interview (if held) get 2nd class rail/bus fare, unless already in Govt. service.
  7. Scribe users must arrange their own scribe and give undertakings; compensatory time is 20 minutes per hour.

Fraud/Canvassing Warning

  1. Unfair means, impersonation, sharing exam content or carrying mobile phones can lead to disqualification, debarment and prosecution.
  2. The bank checks answer patterns; shared responses can lead to cancellation.
  3. Canvassing or seeking undue influence will lead to disqualification.
