This is Advertisement No. 04 (Recruitment of Specialists on Contract 2026-27) for the Chief Information Security Office (CISO) and the Department of Supervision (DoS) - CSITE. All posts are based at the Head Office in Mumbai. The notification is dated 09 October 2026. Gujarat candidates must be ready to relocate to Mumbai, as no posting in Gujarat is mentioned.

The engagement is on contract for 2 years, extendable up to a maximum of 5 years. Specialists will have no right to regular employment in NABARD.

  • Fee exemption: SC, ST and PwBD candidates pay only intimation charges of Rs. 150

Qualification for CISO posts (SOC Analyst, Information Security Analyst, Network Security Analyst, Ethical Hacker & Penetration Tester): BE/B.Tech in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, Electronics & Communication, Information Science, Electrical or Cyber Security; OR MCA; OR a Post Graduate degree in Computer Science, IT, Cyber Security, Information Security, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Software Engineering or Electronics & Communication Engineering. Minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade is required.

Qualification for DoS-CSITE posts (Lead Auditor, Cyber & Network Security Specialist, IT Infrastructure & Banking Specialist, Cyber Security Analyst): B.E./B.Tech in CSE, ECE or IT; OR a Bachelor's degree in any discipline with a Master's in Computer Science/IT/ECE.

Mandatory certification and experience:

  • SOC Analyst: Any one of CompTIA Security+, CEH or equivalent. Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in IT/Cyber Security. Desirable: SIEM certification, CHFI/CySA+/Blue Team certification, and SOC experience in large organisations/BFSI.
  • Information Security Analyst: Any one of CISA, CISM, CISSP or equivalent. Minimum 2-4 years experience in Information Security/IT Risk/Cyber Security. Desirable: CRISC/CGEIT, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor, PCI DSS, cloud security certification, and BFSI/FinTech/CERT-In empanelled firm experience.
  • Network Security Analyst: CCNP Security or equivalent. 5 years of IT experience with at least 3 years in network security. Desirable: CISSP/CISM, Check Point/Palo Alto/Fortinet certifications, cloud security certification, and BFSI/SOC experience.
  • Ethical Hacker & Penetration Tester: Any one of CEH, OSCP, ECSA or equivalent. Minimum 2-4 years in VAPT/Ethical Hacking with hands-on application, API and infrastructure testing. Desirable: GWAPT, GPEN, OSWE/OSWA, and BFSI/red teaming experience.
  • Lead Auditor: CISA is mandatory, plus at least one of CISSP, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, or Lead Implementer. Minimum 8 years overall IT experience, including at least 5 years of technology/IS audits in BFSI with experience leading audit teams. Cloud Audit, Project Management and PCI-DSS training is preferred.
  • Cyber & Network Security Specialist: CISA is mandatory, plus at least one of CCNA, CCNP, CEH or CISM. Minimum 6 years handling network devices, cyber security consulting, ISMS, SOC/VAPT, including at least 3 years in technology/IS audit.
  • IT Infrastructure & Banking Specialist: CISA is mandatory, plus at least one of CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, or a PCI DSS certification (PCIP/ISA/QSA/CPISI). Minimum 6 years handling CBS and payment channels (SWIFT, ATM, Internet/Mobile Banking, NEFT/RTGS/UPI/IMPS), IT infrastructure and virtualization, including at least 3 years in technology/IS audit.
  • Cyber Security Analyst: At least one of CEH, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, a Database certification (Oracle/Microsoft SQL) or a Cloud certification (AWS/GCP/Azure/Oracle). Minimum 3 years in IT or cyber security.

Other conditions: Only Indian citizens can apply. Eligibility is checked at the interview/joining stage. The notification does not state any age or marks relaxation by category.

  3. Choose "Click here for New Registration" and enter your name, contact details and email ID. A Provisional Registration Number and Password will be shown on screen and sent by email and SMS.
  4. Fill in the application form. You can use "SAVE AND NEXT" to save your data and complete it later.
    • Spell your name and your father's/husband's name exactly as in your certificates and ID proof
    • Click "Validate your details" and "Save & Next"
  5. Upload the scanned documents in the required format.
    • Photograph, signature, left thumb impression and handwritten declaration (in English, not in capital letters)
    • Live photograph via webcam or mobile QR scan
    • Latest CV/Resume and proof of current Cost to Company in PDF (max 500 KB)
  6. Click the Preview tab and check the whole form carefully. No change is allowed after clicking COMPLETE REGISTRATION.
  7. Click COMPLETE REGISTRATION, then open the Payment tab and pay the fee online.
  8. Wait for the server confirmation after payment. Do not press Back or Refresh. An e-Receipt means the payment succeeded.
  9. Take a printout of the e-Receipt and the completed application form.
  10. For problems with the form or payment, lodge a complaint at https://cgrs.ibps.in/ and write "NABARD – Recruitment to the post of Specialists on contract" in the subject.

Important notes

General Guidelines

  1. Applications are accepted only online between 09.10.2026 and 26.10.2026.

  3. NABARD can change the dates, increase or decrease the number of posts, or cancel the recruitment without giving any reason.
  4. Roll numbers of shortlisted candidates will be published on the Bank's website.
  5. The Bank's decision on shortlisting and selection is final, and no correspondence will be entertained.

Contract Terms

  1. Contract period is 2 years, extendable by a further 3 years, reviewed one year at a time and never beyond 5 years.
  2. Either side can end the contract with one month's notice. If notice is not served, a sum equal to pay for the notice period must be paid.
  3. Leave is a maximum of 30 days per calendar year on a proportionate basis. Unavailed leave cannot be carried forward.
  4. Total absence cannot exceed 10 days at a time, except on emergency medical grounds with a medical certificate.
  5. Absence of more than 1 month is treated as notice period unless approved by the department's CGM/OIC.
  6. Medical facility is for self only, at the Bank's dispensary where available.
  7. Tax will be deducted at source as per the Income Tax Act.

Application & Fee

  1. The application fee is non-refundable, and bank transaction charges are borne by the candidate.
  2. The handwritten declaration must be in your own handwriting and in English only. A declaration written by someone else or in another language makes the application invalid.
  3. Keep a valid personal email ID and mobile number active until the recruitment process ends.
  4. If your photo, signature, thumb impression or declaration is unclear or smudged, your application may be rejected.

Selection & Verification

  1. Selected candidates must pass the pre-recruitment medical examination by the Bank's Medical Officer.
  2. Candidates working in Government, Quasi-Government, PSU, Nationalised Banks or Financial Institutions must bring a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the interview, otherwise their candidature may not be considered.
