In short

NICL Apprentice Bharti 2026 offers 200 Graduate Apprentice seats at National Insurance Company Limited, a Government of India undertaking. Full-time graduates in any discipline who passed by 01 April 2026 can apply online through the NATS portal until 18 November 2026.

The engagement is under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) and the Apprentices Act, 1961, with notification dated 04 November 2026. Shortlisting is handled by the Board of Practical Training (Eastern Region), Kolkata. The apprenticeship runs for 12 months in NICL offices.

Gujarat has 22 seats, one of the highest state allocations. Candidates can choose only one state, and NICL may place selected apprentices in any district of that state. This programme is training, not a job, but gives freshers one year of hands-on work experience in the general insurance sector.

  • Apply for only ONE state; the district inside that state is decided by NICL
  • 100% complete NATS profile is compulsory to be eligible
  • Merit based on graduation percentage; no written exam is mentioned
  • Tie in marks: the older candidate ranks higher
  • Not eligible if you hold a PG degree or have 1 year or more of work experience
  • 1 day leave per month, carried forward, maximum 4 at a time
  • No PF, ESI or Bonus, and no regular job after the apprenticeship
  • No TA/DA, boarding or lodging for document verification
