Important notes

General Guidelines

  1. Engagement is strictly under the Apprentices Act, 1961 and Apprentice Rules, 1992. An apprenticeship contract will be signed with NPCIL.
  2. There is no obligation on NPCIL to offer employment after training, and none on the apprentice to accept it.
  3. Absent apprentices must refund the whole training cost (stipend received) as decided by the Central Apprenticeship Advisor.
  4. No hostel or transport facility is provided.
  5. If Hindi and English versions differ, the English version prevails.

Selection and Eligibility Conditions

  1. First preference goes to eligible local candidates within 16 km of Narora Atomic Power Station, subject to reservation. If not enough local candidates are found, others are considered.
  2. Shortlisting is based on percentage of marks in the respective trade/discipline.
  3. If marks are tied, the older candidate is preferred. If birth date is also tied, higher Matriculation (10th) percentage ranks higher.
  4. OBC candidates must hold a Non-Creamy Layer certificate to claim reservation.
  5. If CGPA/grade conversion is not given by the university, standard conversion is used (for example 55% = 5.9 on 10-point scale, 60% = 6.5, 65% = 7.0).
  6. Candidature is provisional and subject to verification of certificates.

Communication and Document Verification

  1. Narora is a highly protected area. Apprentices are engaged only after submitting a Police Verification Certificate from the District Police Authority.
  2. Candidates must carry originals and self-attested copies at document verification.
  3. Any corrigendum or addendum will be published only on npcilcareers.co.in.

Fraud and Disqualification Warning

  1. Candidates giving false information or fake documents, hiding information, not meeting eligibility, impersonating, or uploading non-human or irrelevant photographs can be disqualified, prosecuted and debarred.
  2. Management may cancel or change seats or the entire process without giving reasons.
  3. The decision of management is final and binding. No correspondence will be entertained.
  4. Seats may remain unfilled if suitable candidates are not found.
