SBI Security Officer Bharti 2026 - 60 Manager & Deputy Manager (Security) Posts

SBI Security Officer Bharti 2026 is open for 60 regular Specialist Cadre Officer posts of Manager (Security) and Deputy Manager (Security). Graduates with officer-level service in the Indian Army, Navy, Air Force or Para-military forces can apply online on the SBI careers portal until 25 November 2026.

The recruitment is notified by SBI's Central Recruitment & Promotion Department, Mumbai, under Advertisement No. CRPD/SCO/2026-27/28 dated 04 November 2026. Manager (Security) is placed in Middle Management Grade Scale III and Deputy Manager (Security) in Scale II. Selected officers will handle branch security audits, security drills, disaster management plans and liaison with civil, military and police authorities.

This is an all-India recruitment for Indian citizens. For candidates from Gujarat, the online exam centres include Ahmedabad/Gandhinagar, Anand/Vadodara, Mehsana, Rajkot and Surat/Bardoli. After joining, the career path follows the existing cadre of SBI security officers.

Educational Qualification (as on 31.10.2026)

Graduate in any discipline from a Government recognized University or Institution. This is the minimum qualification for both posts.

Post-Qualification Experience: Manager (Security), MMGS III

• Officer not below the rank of Major in the Indian Army (or equivalent rank in the Indian Navy/Air Force) with at least 10 years of commissioned service
• OR Officer not below the rank of Deputy Commandant in Para-military forces with at least 10 years of service as an officer

Post-Qualification Experience: Deputy Manager (Security), MMGS II

• Officer not below the rank of Captain in the Indian Army (or equivalent rank in the Indian Navy/Air Force) with at least 5 years of commissioned service
• OR Officer not below the rank of Assistant Commandant in Para-military forces with at least 5 years of service as an officer

Experience Conditions

• Experience must be full-time and held as on 31.10.2026
• The experience certificate must clearly state experience in the required field, or the Bank may cancel the candidature at any time

Medical Fitness

• Only applicants in medical category SHAPE-1 or equivalent, as on the date of the advertisement, are eligible
• Retired applicants must state the medical category recorded in their Discharge Book/Service Record
• Serving applicants must use their latest Medical Board certificate showing current medical category

Age Limit (as on 31.10.2026)

Age must be between 25 and 40 years. The maximum age shown is for Unreserved (UR) candidates.

Age Relaxation

• Upper age relaxation for reserved categories as per Govt. of India guidelines, wherever applicable
• Cumulative age relaxation is not allowed under any combination
• Certificates supporting age relaxation must be submitted at the interview, if shortlisted

Reservation Conditions

• OBC reservation is only for Non-Creamy Layer candidates; the OBC-NCL certificate must be issued between 01.04.2026 and the date of interview
• OBC candidates in the Creamy Layer must apply as Unreserved (UR)
• EWS reservation needs an Income & Asset Certificate for FY 2025-26 (valid for 2026-27) in the Govt. of India format; without it, apply as UR
• SC/ST/OBC caste certificates must be in the Govt. of India format, issued by the Competent Authority
• Reserved category candidates may apply against UR vacancies if they meet all UR eligibility conditions
• Category cannot be changed after the online application is registered

3. Download and carefully read the detailed advertisement before applying.
4. Click Apply Online and register yourself as a new candidate.
5. Fill in the application form carefully:
   • Personal details and category
   • Educational qualification and service/experience details
   • Medical category as per Discharge Book/Service Record or latest Medical Board
6. If you cannot finish in one go, save the form. Note down the provisional registration number and password shown on screen to re-open and edit it later.
7. Upload your scanned photo, signature, left-hand thumb impression, hand-written declaration and all supporting PDFs, then capture a live photo using a webcam or by scanning the QR code with your mobile.
8. Use Preview to check every upload is clear and in the right place, and review the full application. No corrections are allowed after final submission.
9. Submit the application and pay the fee through the integrated payment gateway. Retry if the payment fails the first time.
10. Print the e-receipt and the system-generated application form (they can be reprinted later).
