Associate BGCL Bharti 2026 invites online applications for 29 posts of Assistant Associate, Associate and Sr Associate at Bengal Gas Company Limited. Engineers, CA/ICWA/CMA, MBA, B.Com, MCA, M.Tech and M.Sc candidates with 1 to 9 years of experience can apply. The last date is 27 October 2026.

BGCL is a joint venture of GAIL (India) Limited and GCGSCL. It is authorised by PNGRB to build and run the city gas distribution (CGD) network in Kolkata Municipal Corporation and parts of North 24 Parganas, South 24 Parganas, Howrah, Hooghly and Nadia. The registered office is at New Town, Kolkata. This is Advertisement No. BGCL/OPEN/MISC/7/2026, and only Indian nationals can apply.

The posts are spread across Projects/O&M, Finance & Accounts, Contract & Procurement, Civil, Human Resources, BIS, GIS, Corporate Affairs, Fire & Safety, and Marketing & Commercial. All posts are on Fixed Term Employment for 3 years, with the first 6 months on probation.

Qualification, experience and upper age limit (post-wise)

• Assistant Associate (Project/O&M): Full-time 4-year BE/B.Tech/B.Sc Engg with 60% marks in Mechanical, Production, Manufacturing, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation or Electronics & Communication. Experience: 3 years in CGD, plant/refinery commissioning or maintenance, or oil & gas pipeline work. Age: 37 years.
• Associate (Project/O&M): Same qualification. Experience: 6 years in the same areas. Age: 41 years.
• Sr. Associate (Project/O&M): Same qualification. Experience: 9 years in the same areas. Age: 50 years.
• Assistant Associate (Finance & Accounts): CA/ICWA/CMA with 50% marks in final exam (Associate or Fellow member of ICAI/ICWAI/ICMAI), OR 2-year full-time MBA (Finance) with 50%, OR B.Com/M.Com with 50%. Experience: 1 year for CA/ICWA/CMA, or 3 years for MBA/B.Com/M.Com, in Finance/Accounts. Age: 37 years.
• Associate (Finance & Accounts): Same qualification. Experience: 3 years for CA/ICWA/CMA, or 6 years for MBA/B.Com/M.Com. Age: 41 years.
• Assistant Associate (C & P): Full-time 4-year Engineering degree with 60% in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Instrumentation, Metallurgy, Civil, Production, IT, Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunication, Industrial or Petrochemical, OR full-time MBA/PG Diploma in Management (Material, Supply Chain, Production or Project Management) with 50%. Experience: 3 years in Contract & Procurement/Material Management/Stores & Purchase. Age: 37 years.
• Sr. Associate (Civil): Full-time 4-year Civil Engineering degree with 60%. Experience: 9 years in Civil. Age: 50 years.
• Sr. Associate (HR): 2-year full-time MBA/MMS/MSW in HRM/Personnel Management & Industrial Relations with 50%, OR full-time Master's/PG Diploma in Personnel Management/PM&IR with 50%. Experience: 9 years in HR functions. Age: 50 years.
• Assistant Associate (BIS): Full-time 4-year Engineering degree in Computer Science/IT with 60%, OR 3-year MCA with 60%. Experience: 3 years in BIS function. Age: 37 years.
• Associate (BIS): Same qualification. Experience: 6 years in BIS function. Age: 41 years.
• Associate (GIS): M.Tech/M.Sc in Geoinformatics or Remote Sensing & GIS with 60%. Experience: 6 years in CGD. Age: 41 years.
• Associate (CA): BE/B.Tech/B.Sc (4 years) in any Engineering branch with 60%. Experience: 6 years in Project Management/Corporate Affairs in Hydrocarbon, CGD, EPMC, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or Fertilizer sector. Age: 41 years.
• Sr. Associate (Fire & Safety): 4-year Engineering degree in Fire/Fire & Safety with 60%. A 1-year Diploma in Industrial Safety gets preference. Experience: 9 years in Fire & Safety. Age: 50 years.
• Associate (Marketing & Commercial): 2-year full-time MBA/PGDM/MMS in Marketing, Finance, Oil & Gas or Petroleum and Energy with 50%. Experience: 6 years in Marketing and/or Commercial. Age: 41 years.
• Sr. Associate (Marketing & Commercial): Same qualification. Experience: 9 years in Marketing and/or Commercial. Age: 50 years.

Age as-on date: The upper age limit is counted as on the last date of application submission.

Age relaxation (only for posts reserved for the category):

• PwBD relaxation applies whether or not the post is reserved, but only if the post is identified as suitable for that disability.
• Ex-servicemen with at least 6 months of continuous service can deduct their service period from their age. The result must not exceed the upper limit by more than 3 years.
• SC/ST/OBC (NCL) candidates applying for unreserved posts get no age relaxation.
• The maximum age cannot exceed 56 years even after all relaxations.

Relaxation in minimum marks (SC / ST / PwBD):

• Where 60% is required, the minimum for SC/ST/PwBD is 55%.
• Where 50% is required, the minimum for SC/ST/PwBD is 45%.
• SC/ST/PwBD candidates applying against unreserved posts get no marks relaxation.
• PwBD candidates need at least 40% of the relevant disability to claim reservation or concessions.

Qualification conditions:

• Qualification must be from a UGC-recognised Indian university or deemed university, or AICTE-approved courses from autonomous institutions or the relevant statutory council.
• If marks are given as CGPA/OGPA/grade, mention the equivalent percentage in the application and submit a proof certificate later.
• A 3-year Engineering degree with Diploma, B.Sc or a Science graduate degree is treated at par with BE/B.Tech/B.Sc Engg/MCA.
• A 5-year integrated dual degree (BE/B.Tech or ME/M.Tech) in a relevant discipline is treated at par.
• For MBA/PG Diploma/MMS with dual specialisation, one specialisation must be in the function advertised.
• An integrated MBA with an Engineering degree is not considered for either MBA or Engineering posts.

Experience conditions:

• Experience is counted as on the last date of submission, from Government, PSU, private organisation, CA/Cost Accounting firm or Law firm.
• Industrial training or articleship done as part of a course does not count.
• Apprenticeship training in a relevant industry and contract work through an empanelled agency do count.
• For CA/ICWA/CMA, experience is counted from the date of obtaining Associate membership and excludes training or articleship.
