Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology (B.E./B.Tech.) or a Master's degree in Science (M.Sc.) in one of the nine notified subjects, from a recognised university or institution. Your degree subject and GATE paper must match.

Valid GATE Score: You must have achieved the qualifying cut-off marks in GATE 2024, 2025 or 2026 in the paper for your subject. Match your paper code to your subject:

• Computer Science / Information Technology: Computer Science and Information Technology (CS)
• Electronics and/or Communication / Telecommunication: Electronics and Communication Engineering (EC)
• Data Science / AI, or Computer Science with Data Science / AI specialisation: Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DA)
• Physics: Physics (PH)
• Mechanical Engineering: Mechanical Engineering (ME)
• Civil Engineering: Civil Engineering (CE)
• Chemistry: Chemistry (CY)
• Mathematics: Mathematics (MA)
• Statistics: Statistics (ST)

Age Limit: Maximum 30 years as on 15 November 2026. No minimum age is mentioned in the notification.

Age Relaxation: SC, ST, OBC, Central Government employees and Ex-servicemen get relaxation as per Central Government orders in force. The notification does not state the number of relaxation years. Government employees claiming relaxation must attach Annexure-IV issued by the competent authority.

Restrictions: You may apply for one subject only. Ex-servicemen who have already used the ex-serviceman reservation for a civil job are eligible for age relaxation only.

1. Read the full notification PDF and confirm you meet the degree, GATE score and age conditions.
2. Copy the application form printed in the notification PDF.
3. Type the form on A-4 size paper in English capital (block) letters, using black or blue ink only.
4. Fill every column. No column may be left blank.
5. Affix a self-attested recent passport-size coloured photograph and sign the declaration.
6. Attach self-attested copies of all required documents, plus two recent passport-size coloured photographs with your name and date of birth on the back.
7. If you are in government service, send the form through your office with Annexure-IV if you claim age relaxation.
8. Post the application by ordinary post to: Post Bag No. 001, Lodhi Road Head Post Office, New Delhi-110003.
9. Make sure it reaches before 15 November 2026. Posting early is safer.
