DGQA Technician Bharti 2026 - 32 Posts (Skilled & Semi Skilled)

Technician DGQA Bharti 2026 invites applications for 32 Group C Technician posts in the Directorate General of Quality Assurance, Ministry of Defence. Candidates need an ITI in the listed trade. Applications go by post, and the last date is 7 November 2026.

This is direct recruitment under Advertisement No. CQA (GS)/2026/1 for Non-Ministerial Industrial posts. Selected candidates are appointed on probation for two years at Kanpur, New Delhi or Shahjahanpur. They may be posted anywhere in India, including field and remote areas.

Nationality: Only Indian nationals can apply.

Qualification for Technician (Skilled):

• Matriculation (10th pass) from a recognised Board or equivalent
• ITI pass certificate in the specified trade, or an equivalent Defence Services Tradesman Course approved by the Central or State Government
• One year of experience in the specified trade from a recognised organisation or undertaking
• Qualify the departmental Trade Skill Test
• Trades: Computer Hardware and Networking, Computer Operator and Programming Assistant, Cutting & Sewing, Electrician, Fitter, Information Technology and Electronic System Maintenance, Instrument Mechanic, Machinist, Painter, Pattern Maker, Plumber, Refrigeration and Air Conditioner Mechanic, Tool and Die Maker or Tools and Die (Jig and Fixture)

Qualification for Technician (Semi Skilled):

• ITI pass certificate in the specified trade, or an equivalent Defence Services Tradesman Course approved by the Central or State Government
• Qualify the departmental Trade Skill Test
• Trades: Book Binder, Carpenter, Computer Hardware and Networking, Computer Operator and Programming Assistant, Cutting & Sewing, Electrician, Fitter, Information Technology and Electronic System Maintenance, Instrument Mechanic, Painter, Plumber, Refrigeration and Air Conditioner Mechanic, Tool and Die Maker or Tools and Die (Jig and Fixture)

Age limit: Minimum 18 years. Maximum age is counted as on the closing date for receipt of applications in India.

PwBD relaxation: As per DoP&T guidelines.

Other conditions:

• Central Govt civilian employees claiming relaxation need a certificate (Annexure I) showing at least 3 years of continuous service on the closing date. They must stay Central Govt employees until appointment.
• ESM / Agniveer already employed in Group C or D on a regular basis under the ESM / Agniveer quota are not eligible for that reservation.
• EWS benefit needs an income and asset certificate (Annexure IV) from a competent authority.
• A person is not eligible if they have a living spouse and marry again, or are convicted or under trial for criminal offences.

1. Download the advertisement (CQA (GS)/2026/1) and read all instructions.
2. Type the application in Appendix A on A4 paper, in English, in Arial size 12.
   • Fill it in block letters; print double-sided
   • No overwriting or correction fluid; sign every page
3. Prepare two Admit Cards as per Appendix B on A4 paper.
4. Sign the Appendix C instructions for examination.
5. Attach the self-attested copies of all required documents.
6. Affix passport size photographs on the application and both admit cards.
7. Keep one self-addressed envelope (30 cm x 12 cm) with a Rs. 60 postal stamp, for sending the admit card.
8. Write "APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF TECHNICIAN (SKILLED)" or "APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF TECHNICIAN (SEMI SKILLED)" on the envelope.
9. Send it by ordinary post or Speed Post to: The Controller, Controllerate of Quality Assurance (General Stores), DGQA Stores Complex, Ashok Path, Meerpur Cantt, Kanpur - 208004, Uttar Pradesh.

• Self-addressed envelope (30 cm x 12 cm) with Rs. 60 stamp
