GMRC Systems Recruitment Bharti 2026 - 29 Posts

Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) Limited has released the GMRC Systems Recruitment Bharti 2026 notification, inviting applications from eligible and experienced engineering candidates for 29 posts across various Systems disciplines such as E&M, Telecom, Signalling, Rolling Stock and Traction. These posts are to be filled on Contract, Deputation or Post-Superannuation basis for the Ahmedabad/Gandhinagar Metro Project and the Surat Metro Project, including its Operations & Maintenance (O&M) work. Candidates need a B.E./B.Tech degree in the relevant engineering discipline along with varying years of post-qualification experience depending on the post applied for, and must apply online before 03.10.2026.

This recruitment is issued vide notification No. GMRCL/HR/RECT/Systems/Sept-2026/26 dated 19th September 2026. GMRC is a 50:50 Special Purpose Vehicle jointly owned by the Government of India and the Government of Gujarat, responsible for implementing the Ahmedabad Metro Rail Project Phase-I and Phase-II, and the Surat Metro Phase-I. The initial engagement period for contract/deputation posts is a minimum of 3 years, extendable up to 5 years based on performance. Preference will be given to candidates who have worked in Gujarat State for at least 3 years and are conversant with the Gujarati language, and selected candidates may be posted at Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Surat or any other GMRC project location in Gujarat.

Additional General Manager (E&M): B.E./B.Tech in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics/Power Electronics/Instrumentation or equivalent, with minimum 18 years of relevant post-qualification experience in a reputed private organisation, OR 15 years of relevant experience at Executive level in Government/PSU/metro rail organisation.

Joint General Manager (Telecom): B.E./B.Tech in Electronics & Communications/Electrical & Electronics/Computer Science/IT or equivalent, with minimum 16 years of relevant experience in private sector, OR 14 years at Executive level in Government/PSU.

Deputy General Manager (Telecom): Same qualification stream as above, with minimum 10 years of relevant executive experience in private organization OR 8 years in PSU/Metro Corporation.

Manager (Traction/Rolling Stock/Telecom/Signalling): B.E./B.Tech in the respective discipline, with minimum 9 years of relevant experience in private organization OR 7 years in PSU/Metro Corporation.

Assistant Manager (Rolling Stock/E&M/L&E/Signalling/Telecom/Traction): B.E./B.Tech in the respective discipline, with minimum 7 years of relevant experience in private organization OR 5 years in Government/PSU/Metro Rail Corporation (Assistant Manager Rolling Stock requires 7 years Supervisory grade in private or 5 years Supervisory grade in Government/PSU).

Engineer - Sr. Grade (E&M): B.E./B.Tech in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics/Power Electronics/Instrumentation or equivalent, with minimum 3 years of relevant post-qualification experience.

Deputation & Employee Exclusions: Candidates working in Indian Railways/Metro Rail Organization/State or Central Govt. PSU/Board may apply on deputation basis as per standard terms of their parent organization, submitting NOC on or before the date of interview. Age limit does not apply to existing GMRC employees, but age relaxation does not apply to officials re-employed in GMRC after superannuation. Preference is given to candidates with at least 3 years' work experience in Gujarat State who are conversant with the Gujarati language.
