RRB Paramedical Categories Bharti 2026 - 590 Posts (CEN 05/2026)

Railway Recruitment Boards (RRB) under the Ministry of Railways have released the RRB Paramedical Categories Bharti 2026 notification (CEN No. 05/2026), inviting online applications for 590 posts across 9 paramedical categories including Nursing Superintendent, Dialysis Technician, Health & Malaria Inspector Grade II, Audiologist & Speech Therapist, Pharmacist, Radiographer X-Ray Technician, ECG Technician, Optometrist, and Lab Assistant Grade II. Candidates with the relevant paramedical qualification such as GNM/B.Sc Nursing, B.Pharm, DMLT or equivalent can apply online through the unified RRB website before 14th October 2026.

This recruitment is conducted across all 21 RRBs in India, with RRB Ahmedabad handling vacancies for Western Railway in Gujarat, offering 7 posts across Pharmacist (Entry Grade), ECG Technician, and Lab Assistant Grade II. Selection includes a single-stage Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by Document Verification and Medical Examination. Candidates can choose only one RRB and indicate preferences for Railway Zones and posts within that RRB; options once exercised are final and cannot be changed later.

Nursing Superintendent: Certificate as Registered Nurse and Midwife with 3-year GNM course from a recognized institution OR B.Sc Nursing.

Dialysis Technician: B.Sc plus Diploma in Haemodialysis, or 2 years satisfactory experience in Haemodialysis work; B.Sc in Dialysis Techniques/Technology/Renal Dialysis Technology also eligible.

Health & Malaria Inspector Grade II: B.Sc with Chemistry as main/optional subject, plus 1-year Diploma in Health/Sanitary Inspector OR 1-year NTC in Health Sanitary Inspector.

Audiologist & Speech Therapist: Bachelor in Audiology, Speech Language Pathology (BASLP) with registration with Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).

Pharmacist (Entry Grade): Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy degree registered as Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act, 1948.

Radiographer X-Ray Technician: 10+2 with Physics & Chemistry plus 2-year Diploma in Radiography/X-Ray Technician; Science graduates with the same diploma preferred; equivalent B.Sc degrees also eligible.

ECG Technician: 10+2/Graduation in Science with Certificate/Diploma/Degree in ECG Laboratory Technology or Cardiology Technician (minimum 1-year duration).

Optometrist: B.Sc in Optometry or Diploma in Ophthalmic Technician (3-4 years duration) with registration with the concerned Council/Licensing body.

Lab Assistant Grade II: 12th (Science) plus Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) or equivalent Certificate Course of at least 1-year full-time duration; B.Sc Medical Lab Technology also eligible.

Other Conditions: Candidates awaiting final results of the prescribed qualification are not eligible to apply. Candidates already dismissed from Central/State Government or PSU service are not eligible. PwBD candidates get a relaxation of up to 2 marks in minimum qualifying marks in case of shortage of PwBD candidates against reserved vacancies.

1. Visit the unified RRB website at https://rrb.indianrailways.gov.in and navigate to the relevant RRB webpage (RRB Ahmedabad for Gujarat/Western Railway candidates).
2. Create an Account using a valid personal mobile number and active email ID; details entered here (including mobile and email) cannot be changed later, so fill carefully.
3. Authenticate identity using DigiLocker or Aadhaar during account creation for smoother verification at later stages.
4. Log in and fill the Common Application Form (CAF) with personal, educational and category details.
5. Select only one RRB and indicate order of preference for Railway Zones and posts/categories within that RRB; this cannot be changed once submitted.
   • Choose medium of examination from English, Hindi or 13 regional languages including Gujarati
   • Fill educational qualification details as per the post applied for
6. Capture a live photograph through webcam or mobile camera as per the specified instructions (no pre-existing photo uploads allowed), and upload a scanned signature in JPG format (30 KB to 49 KB).
7. Upload SC/ST certificate in PDF format if opting for free train travel pass (SC/ST candidates only).
8. Pay the examination fee online through internet banking, debit/credit card or UPI before 16th October 2026.
9. Review all details carefully and submit the application; use the modification window (17.10.2026 to 26.10.2026) with a fee of Rs. 250/- per modification if any corrections are needed, except details in 'Create an Account' and Chosen RRB.

Academic Documents

• Educational/technical/professional qualification certificates as prescribed for the post (with date of issue, or consolidated marksheet if certificate is issued after the closing date)
• Matriculation/SSLC/10th class certificate for proof of name and date of birth

Identity Documents

• Valid original Photo ID (Voter ID, Aadhaar Card, Driving License, PAN Card, Passport, employer-issued ID, or School/College ID)

Category/Reservation Documents

• SC/ST Caste Certificate as per Annexure-I format
• OBC-NCL Certificate as per Annexure-II format, issued on or after 01.04.2026
• EWS Income and Asset Certificate as per Annexure-III format
• EBC Income Certificate as per Annexure-IIIA, or BPL card, or Izzat MST
• Minority Community Declaration Affidavit as per Annexure-IV, for minority candidates claiming fee waiver

Disability & Ex-Servicemen Documents

• Certificate of Disability as per Form V or Form VI (Annexure V(A)/V(B)) for PwBD candidates
• Employment Certificate with probable date of discharge (Annexure VI(A)) for serving Defence personnel
• Self-declaration Undertaking (Annexure VI) for Ex-servicemen claiming reservation

Other Documents
