GSSSB Operation Theatre Assistant Bharti 2026 - 16 Posts

Operation Theatre Assistant GSSSB Bharti 2026 has been announced by the Gujarat Subordinate Service Selection Board, Gandhinagar for 16 Operation Theatre Assistant (Class-3) posts. Eligible candidates must apply online on the OJAS website between 15 October 2026 and 29 October 2026.

This is Advertisement No. 460/202627, dated 14 October 2026. The posts are in the Health and Family Welfare Department, under the Commissionerate of Medical Services and Medical Education and Research. Selection is by direct recruitment through a competitive exam, and selected candidates will be recommended to the department for appointment.

Reserved posts for Divyang candidates are not part of this advertisement. They are filled through a separate special drive under Advt. No. 297/202526.

Educational Qualification (any one):

• Diploma in Operation Theatre Techniques / Operation Theatre Technician; OR
• Minimum one-year Certificate Course in Operation Theatre Technology / Operation Theatre Technician; OR
• B.Sc. Medical Technology in Operation Theatre and Anaesthesia Technology

The qualification must be from a university established under a Central or State Act, an institution recognised as such, or a deemed university under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956.

Other Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of computer application as prescribed in Gujarat Civil Services Classification (General) Rules, 1967
• Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both
• Indian citizen, or nationality as per Rule 7 of Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967

Age Limit: 18 to 35 years as on 29/10/2026. Upper age can be relaxed for candidates already in Gujarat Government service as per rules. The cut-off date for qualification, age, caste and other certificates is also 29/10/2026.

Age Relaxation:

Category Conditions:

• SC, ST, SEBC and EWS benefits are only for candidates belonging to Gujarat's original reserved categories.
• Reserved category candidates applying against unreserved posts get no age or other relaxation.
• SEBC candidates need a valid Non-Creamy Layer certificate to get age relaxation. Otherwise they are treated as General category.
• EWS candidates need a valid EWS certificate (or Income and Asset Certificate) to get age relaxation. Otherwise they are treated as General category.
• Married SEBC women must submit the Non-Creamy Layer certificate based on parents' income, not husband's income. A certificate based on husband's income leads to cancellation.

Divyang Candidates: No reserved posts in this advertisement. Divyang candidates may still apply for unreserved posts if their disability type is suitable for the job, with 10 years age relaxation (maximum 45 years). A Civil Surgeon certificate showing at least 40% disability is required.

Ex-servicemen: Those retiring within one year of the last date can also apply.

1. Complete One Time Registration (OTR) on the OJAS website first, if not already done. Only OTR-registered candidates can apply.
2. Visit https://ojas.gujarat.gov.in, click Apply under Online Application and select GSSSB.
3. Click the advertisement for Operation Theatre Assistant, Class-3 (Advt. No. 460/202627). Use More Details to read the full advertisement, then click Apply Now.
4. Enter your Registration No. and date of birth, then click Apply with OTR. Personal Details will open pre-filled from your registration. Fields marked with a red star (*) are mandatory.
5. Fill SSC details:
   • Roll number
   • Month and year of passing
   • Name as per marksheet and board name
6. Fill bank account details for fee refund and upload the first page of the passbook (JPEG, JPG or PNG):
   • Name as per passbook, bank name
   • IFSC code and account number
7. Fill Educational Details, accept the Declaration by selecting Yes, and click Save. Note down the Application Number generated.
8. Upload photograph and signature using your Application Number and birth date:
   • Photo size 5 cm height x 3.6 cm width; signature size 2.5 cm height x 7.5 cm width
   • JPG format, each file up to 15 KB
   • Photo must have a white background and a date, and must not be older than one year from the last date
9. Go to Online Application, click Confirm Application, check all details and edit if needed. Click Confirm only after full verification. No changes are possible after confirmation. Save the Confirmation Number.
10. Pay the exam fee online by 01/11/2026 (23:59) via Print Application Form / Pay Fees. Download and save the fee receipt.
11. Print the application form using the Print Application option and keep it safe until the recruitment ends.
