GSSSB Staff Nurse Bharti 2026 - 11 Posts (PwD Special Drive)

Staff Nurse GSSSB Bharti 2026 is a Special Recruitment Drive by the Gujarat Subordinate Service Selection Board for 11 Staff Nurse, Class-3 posts. Only Divyang (PwD) candidates with B.Sc. Nursing or GNM can apply online on OJAS from 15 October to 29 October 2026.

This is Advertisement No. 462/202627, published on 15/10/2026 from Gandhinagar. The posts are under the Directorate, Employees' State Insurance Scheme (ESIS), in the Health and Family Welfare Department. The drive fills the backlog of reserved posts for persons with disabilities through direct recruitment, so no category-wise reservation is kept inside this drive.

Nationality: Indian citizen, or a person with nationality as per Rule 7 of the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.

Educational Qualification (any one):

• B.Sc. (Nursing) from a recognised university, recognised by the Gujarat Nursing Council or Indian Nursing Council; OR
• Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) from an institution recognised by the Gujarat Nursing Council or Indian Nursing Council

Other requirements:

• Basic computer knowledge as per Gujarat Civil Services rules. Candidates without the certificate can still apply but must submit it before appointment.
• Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both
• Registration with the Gujarat Nursing Council under the Gujarat Nurses, Midwives and Health Visitors Act, 1968 at the time of appointment, if not already registered
• Foreign degree holders must submit UGC equivalence proof during document verification

Age: Minimum 18 years and maximum 35 years as on 29/10/2026. Relaxation for Divyang candidates:

Disability groups allowed (posts are reserved only in these groups):

• Group A - Blindness and Low Vision (LV 40-70%)
• Group B - Deaf and Hard of Hearing
• Group C - Locomotor disability including Cerebral Palsy, Leprosy Cured, Dwarfism, Acid Attack Victims, Both Arm, Both Leg, Spinal Deformity and Spinal Injury
• Group D and E - Autism, Intellectual Disability, Specific Learning Disability, Mental Illness, and Multiple Disabilities

Certificates: The 10-year age relaxation needs a medical certificate from a Superintendent / Civil Surgeon as per the Health Department circular of 15/12/2025. A disability certificate in Form V, VI or VII under the RPwD Rules, 2017 is required.

Reserved category (SC/ST/SEBC/EWS): Only candidates of Gujarat origin get the category benefit and age relaxation. Others are treated as General category PwD candidates.

BA and BL disability: Candidates with Both Arm or Both Leg disability must be able to move and work normally, with or without an artificial limb. A Medical Board opinion will decide suitability after they pass the written exam.

1. Complete One Time Registration (OTR) on https://ojas.gujarat.gov.in if you have not done so. Only OTR-registered candidates can apply.
2. Open the OJAS website, go to Online Application, click Apply and select GSSSB.
3. Click the post name for Advt. No. 462/202627 - Staff Nurse, Class-3, then click Apply. Use More Details to read the full advertisement.
4. Click Apply Now, enter your Registration No. and date of birth, then click Apply with OTR.
5. Check your Personal Details, which are filled from OTR. Fill all fields marked with a red star (*), including your disability group and percentage.
6. Fill the SSC details and the bank account details:
   • SSC roll number, passing month and year, name as per marksheet, board name
   • Name as per passbook, bank name, IFSC code, account number
   • Upload the first page of your passbook in JPEG, JPG or PNG format
7. Fill the Educational Details, accept the Declaration by selecting Yes, and click Save. Note down the Application Number.
8. Click Upload Photograph, enter your Application Number and birth date, and upload your photo and signature:
   • Photo size 5 cm height x 3.6 cm width; signature size 2.5 cm height x 7.5 cm width
   • Both in JPG format, each below 15 KB
   • Passport-size photo with white background and photo date, taken within 1 year before the last date
9. Check everything, edit if needed, then click Confirm Application. A Confirmation Number is generated; save it. No changes are possible after confirmation.
10. Pay the Rs. 400 fee online by 01/11/2026 (23:59) through Print Application Form / Pay Fees. Download the fee receipt.
