  • Post Code 01, Project Scientific Officer: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, or Instrumentation & Control / Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering.
  • Post Code 02, Project Scientific Assistant: 3-year Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics / Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation & Control / Electronics & Instrumentation, or Computer Science/Engineering. B.Sc. (Physics) is also accepted for the Physics branch.
  • Post Code 03, Project Administrative Staff: Graduate in Arts, Commerce, Management, Science, Law or Computer Application, with a Certified Course in Computer.

Important notes

General Guidelines

  1. The number of vacancies is provisional and may increase or decrease as per the institute's needs.
  2. Candidates with a higher qualification than the one prescribed for post codes 01 and 02 are treated as over-qualified and are not screened in.
  3. Fill the application only if you meet the essential qualification. Otherwise, it will be rejected outright.
  4. Meeting the minimum qualification and applying does not guarantee a call for the written test or interview.
  5. The institute can reject an application that does not meet the criteria at any stage.

Application and Fee

  1. Submit only one online application. If you submit several, the one with the higher Application ID (the latest) is processed.
  2. Candidates claiming fee exemption must submit the relevant certificate. Otherwise, their candidature will not be considered.
  3. The fee is not refunded in any case and cannot be kept for another selection.
  4. Incomplete applications, or those without the required documents, can be rejected without notice. No interim correspondence is entertained.
  5. Wrong information can lead to rejection through computer-based shortlisting.

Selection and Wait List

  1. Applications are checked for age, qualification, category certificate, fee receipt and other criteria. Only valid applicants are called for the written test and/or interview.
  2. The written test and/or interview will be held in Ahmedabad or Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Details will be put on the IPR website. No TA is paid.
  3. The final selected list will be published on the institute's website or portal, along with a wait list in order of merit.
  4. The wait list is valid for one year from the declaration of the final result. Being on it does not guarantee an appointment.

Communication

  1. All communication is by email only. Give a correct and active email address and mobile number.
  2. The shortlisted list is posted on the IPR website. Candidates who are not shortlisted get no separate message, and no correspondence is entertained.
  3. Any corrigendum or addendum is posted only on https://www.ipr.res.in/opportunities/current-opening-recruitment. Check it regularly.
  4. Records of candidates who are not selected are kept for one year from the date the selected list is published.
