Who can apply:

  • Qualified and experienced retired ONGC personnel from Production and Drilling disciplines only
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Work Over/Drilling operations
  • Associate Consultant posts are for retired employees of E4/E5 level
  • Junior Consultant posts are for retired employees up to E3 level

Age limit:

  • Candidates must be within 63 years of age as on 12.11.2026

E6 level candidates:

  • If enough E3-E5 level candidates are not available, retired E6 level employees may also be considered
  • Their remuneration will be capped at E5 level and they must give explicit consent

Medical fitness:

  • Engagement is subject to medical fitness certified by the ONGC Medical Authority

Important notes

Engagement Terms

  1. The engagement is purely on contract for 2 years: initially 1 year, with the second year subject to satisfactory performance and continued requirement.
  2. Selected candidates must sign an agreement/contract with ONGC.
  3. ONGC may vary the number of posts in each category depending on the number of applicants.
  4. ONGC may cancel the engagement at any time without giving a reason. Either side may end it with one month's notice.
  5. Terms may change from time to time based on company policy; company circulars and office orders will be binding.

Duty and Leave

  1. Duty is in round-the-clock shifts of 12 hours on any charter hired/O&M operated Work Over Rig in Assam Asset.
  2. In an emergency, extended hours or holidays may be required without extra payment, and the duty pattern may change.
  3. One day of paid leave per completed month (equal to 2 days for competent persons due to on/off duty), calculated pro-rata.
  4. Leave lapses at the end of the tenure and cannot be encashed.
  5. Absence leads to a per-day deduction from monthly payment.

Payment and Benefits

  1. The compensation package is inclusive of service tax, which the individual must bear.
  2. 80% of the monthly honorarium plus phone charge reimbursement is paid monthly.
  3. The remaining 20% is paid after performance assessment at the end of the engagement and completion of assigned tasks.
  4. No other benefits, allowances, facilities or incentives of regular/tenure employees are admissible.
  5. The engaged person will have no financial power.

Travel and Stay

  1. Candidates must arrange their own travel for the written test and interview; no TA/DA is reimbursed.
  2. Selected candidates must arrange their own stay in Assam Asset.
