Eligibility

Qualification: MBBS from a University/Institute recognized by MCI, with MCI/NMC/SMC registration, or a valid practitioner license with enrollment in the State Register or National Register.

Experience: Not compulsory, but candidates with relevant work experience will be given preference.

  3. Fill in Annexure-1 completely, including personal, education, experience and registration details.
  4. Paste a recent passport size colour photograph on the form and sign it with date.
  5. Arrange original documents and one set of self-attested photocopies of each.

    • Ex-employees must add a recommendation letter and a self-certificate
  6. Reach HRDC Building, Salem Steel Plant for registration between 08:00 AM and 11:00 AM on 20-11-2026.

Important notes

Engagement Terms

  1. Engagement is purely contractual and gives no right to regular appointment in Salem Steel Plant.
  2. No PF, gratuity or other benefits apart from those stated in the advertisement or offer letter.
  3. Doctors must give service in emergencies and beyond normal hours without extra remuneration.
  4. Doctor is responsible for company assets and must return all of them when the contract ends.

Tenure, Hours and Benefits

  1. Initial tenure is 1 year, extendable by 1 year at company discretion; maximum 3 years under the same contract.
  2. Minimum 8 hours a day, six days a week (48 hours a week); 10 days leave per year with prior approval.
  3. Pay is prorated if engagement is for less time than the stated working hours.
  4. 2 BHK company quarter subject to availability, on payment of rent, electricity, water and other charges; no HRA.
  5. Free medical facilities for self and spouse at SSP Hospital without referral facility.
  6. Post-paid CUG SIM with mobile expenses as per actual, up to Rs. 350 per month.

Selection and Termination

  1. Selection is by document and caste certificate screening, then walk-in interview; a screening test may be held if required.
  2. Selected candidate must clear medical screening before joining.
  3. Performance is reviewed yearly by the Head of Medical; tenure may be curtailed or extended.
  4. Either party can end the contract with one month's notice; poor performance or absence without permission can lead to immediate termination.
  5. Contract can be ended at once for medical unfitness, poor performance, moral turpitude, conviction, insolvency, loss of license, misconduct or financial irregularity.

General Conditions

  1. SSP may reject any application, cancel the process or select fewer doctors than advertised without giving reasons.
  2. Candidature can be rejected at any stage if any information is found false.
  3. The Interview Board's decision is final and binding.
  4. No TA/DA is paid for the interview.
  5. Court of jurisdiction for any dispute is Salem.
