Educational Qualification (Essential):

  • PhD in Natural Sciences, OR
  • Master's degree in Engineering (PhD is desirable for Engineering candidates)

Age Limit: 45 years or above, but not more than 56 years.

Experience:

  • At least 16 years of experience in R&D in the work areas of the laboratory/institute/centre, with special focus on applied research
  • The candidate must show excellence in leadership
  • Years of experience are counted from the start of the candidate's research work experience

Relaxation: Qualifications, age and experience may be relaxed for exceptionally meritorious candidates with the approval of the Director General, CSIR.
