GSSSB Surveyor Bharti 2026 - 78 Posts

GSSSB Surveyor Bharti 2026 is open for 78 Surveyor (Class-3) posts under the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Head of Forest Force, Gujarat State, Gandhinagar. Candidates with a Diploma in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification can apply online on the OJAS website until 20 November 2026.

This is a direct recruitment through a competitive exam, notified under Advt. No. 467/202627 dated 30/10/2026. A merit-based selection list and waiting list will be prepared. Reserved seats are meant only for reserved-category candidates of Gujarat origin. Selected candidates must also pass a walking test after appointment.

Educational qualification (any one):

• Diploma in Civil Engineering from a Technical Examination Board or a recognised/UGC-approved university or institution, or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Government
• OR a certificate of minimum one/two years Surveyor course from a Government-recognised ITI

Other requirements:

• Basic computer knowledge as per Gujarat Civil Services rules (certificate may be submitted before appointment if not available now)
• Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both
• Indian citizen, or nationality as per Rule 7 of the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967
• Foreign degrees need UGC equivalence proof

Age limit: 18 to 33 years as on 20/11/2026. Relaxation for candidates already in Gujarat Government service is possible as per rules.

• Age relaxation and reservation benefits are for SC/ST/SEBC/EWS candidates of Gujarat origin only
• Reserved category candidates applying for unreserved seats get no age relaxation or other concession
• SEBC: Non-Creamy Layer certificate (Appendix-4 Gujarati format) obtained between 01/04/2024 and 20/11/2026, or Central Government Annexure-A certificate obtained between 01/04/2026 and 20/11/2026. Married women must use their parents' income. Without it, they apply as General
• EWS: certificate in Annexure-KH/Appendix-Ga obtained between 21/11/2023 and 20/11/2026, or Income and Asset Certificate (FY 2024-25) obtained between 01/04/2026 and 20/11/2026. Gujarat scheme-benefit certificates are not valid
• Disabled candidates: no disabled-reserved seats in this advertisement; they may apply against general seats with the prescribed Form V, VI or VII disability certificate and get 10 years relaxation (maximum 45 years)
• Ex-servicemen: 10% reservation as per rules; those retiring within one year of the last date may also apply

Cut-off date: Qualification, age, certificates and other eligibility are counted as on 20/11/2026.

1. Complete One Time Registration (OTR) on the OJAS website (ojas.gujarat.gov.in) if not already done. Only OTR-registered candidates can fill the form.
2. Open ojas.gujarat.gov.in, click Apply under Online Application and select GSSSB.
3. Click on Advt. No. 467/202627 Surveyor Class-3, then press Apply. Read More Details, then click Apply now and Skip.
4. Check the pre-filled Personal Details. Fields marked with a red star (*) are compulsory.
   • Enter SSC details: roll number, month and year of passing, name as per marksheet, board name
   • Enter bank details (name as per passbook, bank, IFSC, account number) and upload the first passbook page in JPEG, JPG or PNG. These cannot be changed after submission.
5. Fill the Educational Details, accept the Declaration by selecting Yes, and click Save. Note down the Application Number.
6. Click Upload Photograph, enter the Application Number and birth date, then upload your photo and signature.
   • JPG format, each file up to 15 KB
   • Photo size 5 cm height x 3.6 cm width, signature 2.5 cm height x 7.5 cm width
   • Photo must be passport size with white background and a date not older than one year from the last date
7. Check all details, edit if needed, then click Confirm Application in the Online Application tab. No changes are possible after confirmation. Save the Confirmation Number.
8. Pay the exam fee online (Debit Card, Internet Banking, UPI or Wallet) by 23/11/2026 and keep the receipt. Without a receipt, the application is not valid.
9. Print the application form using Print Application Form and keep it safe till the recruitment ends. It cannot be downloaded after the last date.

• SSC (10th) marksheet/certificate for name and date of birth
• Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent certificate with marksheets, or Surveyor ITI certificate
• Computer knowledge certificate (can be shown before appointment)
• UGC equivalence proof for foreign degrees, if applicable

• School leaving certificate
• Recent passport size white-background photograph (taken within one year of the last date) and signature
• Bank passbook first page (upload with application)

Category and Reservation Documents

• Caste certificate for SC/ST in Gujarat Government prescribed format
• SEBC Non-Creamy Layer certificate (Appendix-4 or Central Annexure-A), with certificate number and issue date entered online
• EWS certificate (Annexure-KH/Appendix-Ga) or Income and Asset Certificate, with number and date entered online
• Disability certificate in Form V, VI or VII for disabled candidates
• Ex-serviceman identity card and discharge book, if applicable
• Widow proof and non-remarriage evidence, if claiming widow benefit
• Sports participation certificate from the authority prescribed by Government, if claiming sports marks

• Medical certificate on physical standards, as required
